It's Alive

Lily, Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily stood huddled in a corner of the park outside the church

"He wasn't moving, okay, and he was not breathing." Aria was trying to reason with their fear that Ian had somehow survived in the bell tower

"Because he was dead." Emily said

"Mate, he is dead." Lily hissed "I pushed him, he's dead, not was."

"So unless we're saying Ian's a zombie someone moved the body," Emily said

"It was probably stuffed in the trunk of "A's" car." Hanna shuddered in fear at the thought

"It's probably on its way to a meat grinder." Emily added and they all gave her a confused look

"Oh, Em, come on, you gotta quit watching those horror films." Aria shook her head

Spencer lowered her voice "You guys, "A's" probably watching us right now."

"Any one of these people could be "A."" Emily added and they all looked around at the crowd who had remained outside the church

"Oh that's great, half the bloody town is here!" Lily hissed and Hanna nudged her shoulder as Officer Garrett approached them.

"They want to see you girls down at the station." He said and his eyes settled on the brunette who was glaring at him "Lily,"

"Garrett." She replied curtly and the others looked between them in confusion

Garrett cleared his throat "I'm here to drive you."

Aria didn't really want to get in a car with Garrett after she saw the angry look Lily was giving him and didn't really feel comfortable getting into a car with him "Uh, well, I saw my parents earlier. They're going to want to know where we're going."

Garrett shrugged "They'll meet us there. Come on. Let's go."

"Yeah I'll take my own car thanks," Lily smiled falsely and walked past him but he grabbed her arm

"You can drive alone but you have to follow behind me," He ordered

"Whatever," She scoffed and walked towards her car

"You can't avoid me forever!" He called after her

"Watch me try!" She retorted and got into her driver's seat. She waited until Garrett's police car pulled out and slowly followed behind it, but she noticed it turned left along a road she knew didn't go to the station

She continued to follow them until he parked outside of an old abandoned apartment building. Garrett got out of the car, followed by the other 4 so she got out of hers and went over to the group

"What's going on?" Lily asked

"It's not safe to talk in the car." Garrett explained

"It doesn't really feel safe out here, either." Hanna retorted and Lily chuckled at the blond

"Look, I'm sorry if I scared you, but there's some things you guys need to know before you start answering questions."

"We're listening." Lily folded her arms and glared at him, Garrett sighed at her never ending hate against him but continued speaking none the less

"All right, the police cannot know that you were blackmailing Ian, and that I was helping you. It's a serious crime."

"You guys were what?" Lily asked the group and they looked at her guiltily

"Well, what about the messenger?" Aria asked

"He doesn't want any trouble." Garrett shrugged

"And the money?" Hanna pressed
