Hanna, Alison, Emily, Aria, Spencer and Lily were making their way from Emily's house to the park nearby while trying to decide what they would all be going as for Halloween that Friday

"So what do you think, Em?" Alison asked her "Should Hanna be "Cute Britney" or "Bald Britney"?"

"If she wants to be, Cute Britney." Emily replied nervously

"Aria?" Alison asked

"She's not gonna shave her head." Aria chuckled

Alison turned to ask Spencer too but Spencer was still typing away furiously on her phone, like she had been doing all afternoon "Spencer, you're worse than my father."

"Sorry." Spencer blushed "But I did just procure nine votes from the debate team."

The girls smiled at her proudly but Hanna just looked confused "Wait, that's a good thing, right?"

"Yeah. And "procured" means to obtain with special effort. And "obtain" means to-"

Lily decided to cut Spencer off before she could go on explaining even more confusing vocabulary "Are you gonna recite the entire dictionary?"

The girls all laughed at her comment but Hanna was still looking at Spencer, waiting for her opinion on her Halloween costume "I think that Hanna should be who she wants to be." Spencer shrugged

"Fine." Alison sighed "But you better wear the tightest skinny pants you can fit your big butt into."

Hanna looked hurt at Alison's comment but didn't say anything and they were saved from an awkward silence by Emily's phone ringing

"Is that Ben?" Lily asked her and Emily rolled her eyes. Emily and Ben had been going out a while and in Lily's opinion Ben was way too clingy and uptight but if Emily was happy then it didn't really matter

"He's all about me going as a sexy cop for Halloween." Emily said "But I'm thinking Indian girl." The girls were interrupted by loud rock music playing and to their left Noel Kahn pulled up in his car with some of his friends from the American football team

"What a shame." Alison crossed her arms, staring at them "All that testosterone and not a sheep in sight."

"Careful, Alison." Noel chuckled "I get your jokes, but someday you might meet a guy who doesn't." His eyes looked across the group and landed on Aria who was next to Lily "So am I gonna see you at my party on Friday?"

Aria looked surprised that Noel was even talking to her "Um, I didn't know we were invited."

"You're Ali and Lily's friends, right?" Louis, who was in the passenger seat said. The car behind the boys honked and Noel grinned "Come prepared to be scared." Were his final words before he and his buddies drove off

The other 4 girls gasped excitedly when they were out of sight "Did we just get invited to Noel Kahn's Halloween bash?"

"I'm a little embarrassed by how excited you girls are." Lily chuckled, she and Ali had been to countless of Noel's parties and she was slightly worried that the other girls acting immature might embarrass them at the party

"It's just a party." Ali added. Her and Lily had always been the more mature ones in the group which meant occasionally they had to deal with the others getting too excited over little things

"Ali, it's not just a party." Spencer said

"It's the party." Aria finished

Alison sighed "You're right. And I'm happy we'll be there together." The road was now empty so they crossed it to the other pavement
