Lily had barely slept in the last few days. She could barely muster enough energy to smile or say congratulations when Aria told them all about her engagement to Ezra. The five girls had gone to brunch at the Radley to celebrate, and once again Lily was silent
But Spencer had forced her to engage in conversation by passing each of the girls a little silk pouch
"What are these?" asked Aria
Inside each pouch was a little gold bracelet, with their name on
"Well, by no means can they top that rock on your finger." Spencer began "But... after what happened to Ali I started thinking... that we're like this crazy, dysfunctional family. But we work together. And I've just decided that I'm at a point in my life where I'm wanna put the people who've had my back before anything else."
"I'm right there with you." Hanna smiled and that meant a lot, given the recent strain on their relationship because of Caleb
"Me too."
"I'm in."
"Same" Lily muttered
"Cheers." Emily said as she raised her glass and they all followed suit "To Aria's engagement and to our friendship."
"To Aria. Congratulations." smiled Hanna "And I better be a bridesmaid."
"You kidding me? You're all gonna be up there with me." She replied and they clinked glasses
Just as they put them down, a waitress came over with their bill and placed it down next to Alison. The blonde opened it and the happy expression on her face suddenly dropped
"Ali, what is it?" asked Hanna
"Roses are red, violets are blue you killed Elliott, and I could have killed you." She said and Lily looked over at the bill, finding that the poem had been written across the bill
"A.D. knows that we killed him." Spencer said
What suddenly caught their attention was two police officers walking into the restaurant and Lily used that opportunity to check her phone, which she had just felt vibrate
Unknown number
Roses are red, violets are blue
If you run, I'll come for you
Lily tried not to look alarmed as she slipped her phone back into her pocket
"Are they coming for us?" Hanna whispered as they watched the officers speak to one of the managers
But they walked past the table and got into the lift "They're not here for us, so who are they here for?" asked Aria
"I'll find out." Emily said. Now that she worked at the Radley bar, she could find out without sneaking around. And with the strange police appearance, the staff were gathered around the lifts talking, and the restaurant visitors abandoned their meals to stand and watch
Emily left their table and went over to her fellow workers and a few moments later she returned with a somber look
"It's Sara Harvey." she said "She's dead."
The scene suddenly turned dark as more police officers flooded in and all guests were alerted of the situation. Jenna had been summoned to the police and after hearing about Sara, she began to cry heavily
"Look at that. Pretending to be Sara's best friend." scoffed Aria "Didn't they just meet?"
"Performance of the century." Lily added
