Jason helped Lily take her coat off and headed to the kitchen to make her a cup of tea while she took off her shoes and settled on the sofa
The dog that had previously been outside had followed them in and jumped onto the sofa next to Lily
"You know that isn't my dog right?" Jason chuckled when he came back in and saw her petting it
"I don't care he's cute," Lily said and the dog was wagging its tail happily "So from now on he's mine,"
"Fine," he laughed and took a seat next to her, passing her tea over
"Thanks," She smiled
"What were you girls doing out so late? That's the second time I've seen you guys out," Jason said
"They've been going to therapy and their therapist is forcing them to spend time apart so we have to meet outside," She explained
"You're not going to therapy?" He asked and she gave him a look "Right of course, if you don't know yourself then no one else would,"
"Correct," She smiled and he laughed again "So you're building a fence?"
"After you told me about that picture of us I realised I had to do something to keep people out of our lives," He explained
"Yeah but the fence is around your house, not mine," She pointed out
"I know I just..." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously "I figured since I was back you'd be spending more time here," Lily smiled when he said that
"I will," She said
"Good," He smiled "I never said it back by the way, I missed you too," Lily blushed and Jason laughed "Lily Jackson, badass bitch is blushing?"
"You were the only one who could ever make me," She shoved him playfully and that was the truth. It was also something Jason really prided himself on, he could turn Lily from a stone-cold, badass bitch in public to the softest, sweetest most loving girl in private
"And I still can," He grinned
"Stop looking so smug," She chuckled "It's annoying,"
"You love it," he teased and she rolled her eyes with a smile which gave him his answer "You know, when you left it was the day after our date. And I actually went over to your house but you were gone,"
"Really?" She asked
"yeah, I was going over to ask you out but you weren't there," He said
"I'm back now, Jase," Lily said softly
"I know," He reached over to place a hand on her knee. Lily was aware of how close that brought him to her and subconsciously her eyes flickered between his eyes and his lips, Jason's eyes following suit
He leaned in closer to her until their noses were brushing and their lips were dangerously close
But when he went in to close the gap between their lips a loud bark from the dog made them both jump. They both broke into laughter and Lily picked up the dog in her lap
"Aw my boy," She teased
"What are you going to name him?" Jason asked
"I'm thinking Teddy," She said
"I like it," He smiled and suddenly Lily let out a yawn "Come on, let's get you to bed,"
"Sure," She nodded and kept Teddy in her arms as they went upstairs. Lily walked ahead of him into his room and placed Teddy on the floor before going into Jason's drawers and pulling out one of his jumpers and a pair of his boxers
