Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Inferno

"Morning," Melissa Hastings said as Lily walked into her kitchen "You feeling better?"

"Yeah I'm finally done crying," Lily said sarcastically "Again thank you for letting me stay here, Rosewood was the last place I wanted to be,"

"Yeah I get it," She nodded "After Ian disappeared all I wanted was to get away from that town and from everyone staring at me,"

"It sucks," Lily agreed

"So are you and Jason now done for good?" Melissa asked gently

"Yeah," Lily said "If it had been just one fight then we would be able to fix it, but I mean he said that it's a wonder I didn't end up dead with Ali, I don't know if that's something I'll be able to forget,"

"I know," Melissa said "But I mean for so long whenever I think of you, I think of Jason too, so the idea of that really being over is really strange,"

"Trust me, it's weird for me too," Lily nodded "Alright I'm going to have a shower," Once Lily had showered and washed herself and her hair, she wrapped a towel around herself and sat down on her bed of Melissa's spare room

I'm in Philly right now but yes I'm okay, don't worry

When are you coming back to Rosewood?

To: Mike

Do you want to hang out sometime when you get back?

Lily put her phone away and changed into some actual clothes before drying her hair as well and then going to the living room where Melissa was watching some pointless TV show but Lily decided to sit down and watch it with her, hoping it would distract her

Why didn't you tell us that you saw Melissa the night Ali disappeared?

"Shit," Lily whispered and Melissa looked at her confused

"What?" Melissa asked "Is everything okay?"

"The girls know that Ali and I saw you that night," Lily explained

"How?" She asked

"I have no idea," Lily said

"Oh my gosh," Melissa whispered and put her head in her hands "If they find out then I'm going to become a suspect in her death and I cannot afford to have my name back in the papers,"

"No matter what happens this cannot get out," Lily agreed "The more that gets out, the more likely I am to end up behind bars,"

2009

Cece, Lily and a large group of their friends were at Annie's Crab Shack in Cape May but there were too people obviously missing from the group

"Will somebody call Jason and tell him to leave his weed and come meet up with us." Cece said drunkenly and everyone laughed, Jason had basically been holed up in his room all day smoking

"Isn't that Alison?" One of their friends pointed outside the restaurant to where the small blonde girl was leaning against a tree. Lily and Cece shared a worried look and they left the restaurant to go talk to her

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Lily asked her best friend who had tear stains on her cheeks 

"I needed to talk to you guys." Ali said shakily 

"What's wrong?" Cece asked 

"I think I'm in trouble." She said 

"What do you mean?" Lily asked and reached out to place a hand on Ali's arm in comfort 

"I'm late." Alison admitted and both the girls felt fear creep up in them 

"Like...?" Ali nodded in response 

"You mean you weren't using protection?" Cece hissed 

"We were. Just not all the time." Alison sniffed 

"Okay, how late are you?" Lily asked 

"Two weeks." She said 

"Have you ever been late before?" Lily asked and Alison shook her head

"What am I gonna do?" She whispered in fear

"Have you told him?" Cece asked

"I can't." She said desperately and Lily felt crushed as she saw her best friend so afraid "If he finds out, he's gonna kill me."

2011

Lily never knew if Alison had been pregnant since, after that conversation the topic was basically taboo and so was the topic of whoever the beach hottie had been

Lily had never understood why Ali was so secretive about him but she just figured he was too old or had a girlfriend, something she could definitely understand keeping a secret

But Lily knew she had a lot of explaining to do once she got back to Rosewood
