It Happened That Night

Summer holidays were now coming to a close and after the hectic year the girls had last school year, none of them were keen to go back

Lily had left Rosewood the second their previous school year had ended

She and Jason had gone away with Teddy to Costa Rica for the summer and let's just say they had both been... very well distracted after the year they had had

Their plane back to Rosewood would be leaving in 3 hours and they still had to get to the airport, Jason had been trying to get Lily into the car but she had constantly been distracting him

"Lil," Jason whispered as she continued to kiss him along his neck "Lil we have to go,"

"Or we could stay here," She whispered. 

"As much as I'd love to fuck you right now, we need to get back to real life," He replied

"No," Lily groaned "Let's stay here forever,"

"Hey," Jason laughed and lifted her chin up "It's one more year,"

"That's so long," She whined

"One more year then we can get out of Rosewood for good," He continued

"Promise," Lily held her pink out to him

"Promise," He linked his with hers and kissed it. She smiled and finally got off of him to get into the car with Teddy

3 hours later their plane was taking off from the ground to take them back to Rosewood

Driving back into Rosewood was like voluntarily returning to hell, a place full of horrible memories and people whispering behind your back

"I hate being back," Lily sighed when they parked outside of her house

Jason's house had been fixed over the summer so he was no longer staying with her but wanted to help her carry her bags inside

"Sweetheart!" Lily's mother shouted when she heard the front door open "You're back,"

"Hi, mum," Lily smiled and gave her a hug

"Lil!" There came a loud bounding of feet down the stairs and Caleb came running into the living room, he smiled when he saw his best friend and pulled her into his arms "I've missed you,"

"I missed you too," She laughed against his shoulder

"I'll let you unpack, babe," Jason said and gave his girlfriend a final kiss before leaving the house

Caleb helped take Lily's bag up the stairs and they were both busy unpacking while telling each other about everything they had missed from each other's summer holidays

"Kids!" Lily's mum shouted after it had been around an hour "Get down here!" Caleb and Lily gave each other nervous looks but headed back down the stairs

They found Lily's mum stood in the living room staring at the TV screen, and what was on the screen was horrifying 'Alison Dilaurentis's remains stolen'

"This morning at the Rosewood cemetery, police officers were called to the scene when it was reported that the grave containing Alison Dilaurentis's remains had been dug up and when they investigated the scene, it was found that the grave was empty"

"Oh my god," Lily whispered in shock. Whoever had killed her best friend had really decided they hadn't gone far enough before and decided to dig up her bones on the day before the anniversary of her death

She had been back in Rosewood for an hour and her life was already being ruined, Lily couldn't even bring herself to pick up the phone or call Jason
