Turn of the Shoe

Ever since Wilden's funeral all the girls had been really shaken up, there was so much they didn't know anymore and the fact that A knew all the answers was scaring them, they could go down for everything A was holding over their heads

And the nerves of it all was clearly building up because Spencer had clearly snapped, she was stacking chips, carrots, tomatoes and mozzarella sticks on their table at the Brew

"When was the last time your mum called you from New York?" Aria was asking Hanna, the latter of whom was particularly shaken since the funeral 

"I don't know, the day before yesterday." Hanna shrugged "I haven't really been keeping track." 

"Have you checked your phone?" Emily asked 

"She called me from the hotel room, Emily. She has no cell." Hanna snapped "Who was that freaky woman at the funeral?" 

"Which freaky woman?" Lily rolled her eyes "There was a couple, Han." 

"The one in black with the veil, and she was just diving into that town car." She said 

"Speaking of freaks, where's Melissa?" Emily asked Spencer who was too focused stacking chips "Spencer?" 

"What?" Spencer asked 

"Where's your sister been?" She repeated 

"D.C. she's interviewing for an internship." Spencer answered 

"With who, Satan?" Hanna joked 

"Wait a second." Aria said "You think that Melissa was the woman in black?" 

"Do you?" Hanna asked

"I didn't really get a good look at her." Aria shrugged "I was trying not to wet myself when that new cop made a beeline over for us, well Lily in particular."

"What do you mean?" Lily asked

"Come on we all noticed the way he stared at you," Hanna said

"Well, he can beeline all he wants." Lily shrugged "I don't like him and we didn't do anything to Wilden."

"Except for throw his car in a lake and leave fingerprints all over it when "A" pulled it out." Aria added and Spencer took a chip out of her hand "Spencer, what are you doing with my French fries?" 

"I'm re-creating the geography around the lodge to see if it's even possible that the person who jumped out of the plane could rescue you three from a burning building." Spencer explained and Hanna shrugged, reaching for her mozzarella stick "Wait. Put down the mozzarella stick." 

"It's mine." Hanna said 

"No, it's not. It's a plane." Spencer snapped 

"Spencer, you can stack all the food that you want, it wasn't Alison." Aria said

"Why are you so sure?" Lily asked 

"Because I went to her funeral twice." Aria replied 

"We never saw a body." Lily shrugged 

"We've been through this. Okay?" Emily added "You were oxygen-deprived." 

"She wasn't," Lily gestured to Spencer "And you saw her, right?" Spencer didn't answer "Oh. So now I'm the crazy one. Gimme my chips back."

"Okay, it looked a lot like Alison, and I'm not ruling it out." Spencer said

"So you're saying that you think her mom is laying out all of her old pillows and toys because she's expecting her return?" Aria asked
