A Kiss Before Lying

Ever since Lily had destroyed the hard drive she and Hanna had been noticeably more left out by the other girls

When she and Hanna were going to the cinema, they invited all the girls but again all the girls seemed to be busy with work. They knew they were pissed but they had no right to act the way they were

But Lily wasn't going to beg for their forgiveness. If they wanted to be pissed then good for them, it wasn't her problem

Lily had gone to Jason's for lunch and was grabbing her books when someone approached her at her locker

"Hi," The blonde girl said

"Oh," Lily recognised her from Hanna's pictures "You're Kate."

"Yeah," She nodded "You must be Lily, one of Hanna's friends,"

"I am," Lily replied

"It's my first day here and I'm on my way to orientation but I wanted to introduce myself. It's nice to meet you," Kate said

"Well since it's your first day I'm going to give you some advice," Lily said "Don't cross me or my friends," She gave Kate a false smile and headed down the hallway

Her phone suddenly beeped so she pulled it out

Call off your techno-boy-toy or I'll tell the cops the truth about the night Alison disappeared - A

Lily looked up from her phone and her eyes met Hanna's at the other end of the hallway who was looking just as scared, so Lily could guess A had messaged her too

"Lily!" Hanna ran up to her "Um, you're sure you destroyed that hard drive right?"

"Yeah, it's in a million pieces in my bin," She said

"So there's no way Caleb could still be working on it?"

"I don't think so," Lily said "So why does A think he is?"

"I don't know," She whispered "Come on, let's ask the others," Hanna dragged Lily after her towards the courtyard where the other 3 were sitting at a table "Hey." 

"Hey." They said 

"Where's the monster?" Emily asked 

"Who?" Lily asked 

"Kate." 

"Oh, she's at orientation," Hanna said "And she's being freakishly nice to me." 

"So why do you look like that?" Spencer asked when she noticed the panicked look on Hanna's face 

"Do you think that Caleb still has that video file somewhere?" She asked and Lily didn't miss the way the girls all looked at each other nervously "Because "A" thinks he does." 

"What are you talking about?" Aria asked 

"We both got texts saying to call off our 'techno-boy-toy."" Lily explained 

""A" maybe just got their wires crossed." Spencer said

"Yeah, maybe they're just like a step behind or something." Aria shrugged and again Lily noticed the nervous look in Aria's eyes 

"Since when is "A" ever a step behind?" Hanna scoffed and then the end of lunch bell rang, the girls quickly packed up their stuff to leave "Where are you guys going?" 

"Uh, we have chem." Emily said 

"Um, we'll talk to you guys later, okay?" Aria added and they hurried off
