Last Dance

First it was no senior prom for the girls because of 'safety concerns' and now they were being kept from their graduation too

When Lily found out, she stormed out of her house and drove to the Brew where the other girls already were

"Can you believe this?" She scoffed as she sat down "Our own school is punishing us for what Charles put us through? God after we got out of that bunker I thought Charles wouldn't do any more to us but it appears Charles will haunt us forever"

"I know" Spencer sighed "My mum's consolation was offering to have us all over in my barn for some tiny, tacky prom of our own"

"At least she offered something" Hanna said

"Yeah a tiny barn" Spencer replied "And when I pointed that out she said we should just open a window"

"That's what she said?" Emily asked 

"Oh, no. There was more." She sighed "She said something about hanging twinkly lights on Melissa's shower curtain. But by that time, I was already halfway up the stairs." 

"I guess it could be worse." Aria said

"Really? How?" Lily asked and they all turned at the short girl who had a blank expression  

"I'm thinking." She shrugged

"Ali, are you okay?" Emily asked their best friend, who had been zoned out for the conversation 

"Yeah, I'm fine." The blonde answered but it wasn't convincing "Even if we went to the real prom who would we hang out with besides each other?" 

"That's true." Hanna nodded "Everyone would just stare at us like we were in some fishbowl." 

"And we wouldn't be safe." Aria added "We already know that Charles has some twisted thing for formals. We've already been to one psycho-prom that he hosted." The girls all went silent thinking about that horror show of a prom

"Have you spoken to Clark?" Lily asked Aria 

"No, I've left him, like, five messages." She sighed

"Did you mention who we saw him meet up with?" Spencer asked 

"You didn't give me a name." She said 

"What about Charles?" Hanna suggested 

"He goes by Rhys." Spencer corrected and Hanna rolled her eyes

Lorenzo, one of the Rosewood PD cops walked into the Brew and Ali tensed up. Apparently he and Ali had been together but then she used his police access to break into the station at night and now they weren't talking

Lorenzo only spared her a brief look before walking to the till and Ali rolled her eyes

"Don't sweat it, Ali. He'll forgive you." Emily said  "If it were his brother on the suspect board he would have done the same thing."

"That's true but him forgiving you depends on how many braincells he has" Lily added and they all looked confused "Well guys that hot usually don't have lots of braincells so we'll see"

Ali sighed "I gotta go to the bathroom." She got up and excused herself from the group

When Ali got back, Lily finished her drink and headed home because she needed to say goodbye to Caleb since he was heading to New York to see his dad for a few days

"I can't believe you're missing prom" Lily sighed as they hugged

"I'll be back before you know it" He chuckled "And get lots of pictures of Hanna in her dress for me will you?"
