Close Encounters

The girls were back in a car for the second time that night. Lily had called Gabe and said one of her friends was having a girl problem, when in reality Spencer picked her up, so the 5 girls were driving back out to find the Busy Bee Inn to find A, and hopefully Alison

"Can't this thing go any faster?" Aria sighed 

"It's hard to see out here. There's no lights on this road." Spencer said from the driver's seat

"The GPS says it's a mile straight ahead." Aria added. They were now using her phone as a GPS after the incident earlier with the car GPS leading them to nowhere 

"If A's been at the inn since he sent that text, aren't we gonna be too late to help Ali?" Hanna asked 

"Well, we won't know that until we get there." Spencer said 

"That's if Ali's even there." Emily added "We're going off something she wrote in a journal two years ago."

"There it is." Aria pointed to a turn in the road "Turn right." Spencer did so and they arrived outside the B&B building

They had brought some tools from home, such as a hammer, and a hockey stick, and they quietly went inside, and the doors were all open so they didn't have to break in. But they found nothing until they reached a bedroom with a mattress on the floor, and wind blowing through 

"What the hell happened here?" 

"Looks like there was some kind of struggle." Spencer said, gesturing to the window which was smashed  

Aria picked up a flowery shirt that was lying on the mattress "I could definitely see Ali wearing this." 

"If Ali was here, where did she go?" Lily asked 

"Maybe she fought A off and got away." Emily suggested 

"Yeah, or he took her somewhere else." Spencer said

"Or worse."

The wind that blew through the room, blew the door shut so they all turned to look at it, and saw carvings in the wood

You're too late - A

After last night's tiring endeavours, Lily needed to sleep for a year. But sadly the need to walk Teddy was always there, so she had to get out of bed to walk him for an hour before she could come back home and lie down again

But then the day was ruined by Emily calling all the girls together at Aria's house and told them that Shana had cornered her at the church and had told her they needed to stop looking for Ali, because Ali had asked her to say that

"I told Shana to find out what Ali had said to me when she pulled me out of the barn." Emily said

"When we were looking for Dr. Sullivan?" Aria asked 

"What did Ali say to you?" Lily asked 

"Uh, that's something I want to keep just between us." Emily replied, seeming uncomfortable

"Well, Shana's obviously lying. I mean, Ali never mentioned her name once." Hanna said

"There were a lot of people in Ali's life we didn't know about." Emily pointed out

"Wait, Shana knew Paige first?" Spencer asked "So what are we saying, that Paige is on Ali's list, too?" 

"I don't know. Maybe." She sighed 

"Even if they were friends, why would Ali trust Shana more than us? We were her best friends. Ali was my sister." Lily said 

"Are you forgetting? Someone's been tormenting us for years. Making our lives miserable, one text at a time." Emily said
