A week later Jason had told Lily the entire truth about him being Peter Hasting's son and after blackmailing the school with Mona's help, Emily was back on the swim team and was winning swim meets again

Lily had been at home when she got a message from Spencer.

From: Spencer

Since when does Jason know Maya?

Attached was a picture of Jason and Maya talking outside a fruit stand.

To: Spencer

I didn't think they did

Lily trusted Jason and she knew he would never cheat on her, it was a small town and everyone knew everyone. She was just more surprised to hear that they knew each other considering Jason had never mentioned it

"Lily!" Caleb called as he arrived home and Teddy ran up to his feet happily

"What's up?" She asked

"Officer Garrett showed up after the swim meet," He said "They took my laptop,"

"What? Why?"

"I don't know, some sort of court order," He scoffed "They shouldn't be able to get into anything but I haven't had a chance to shut it down yet,"

"When will you?"

"They need to try access it," He said "so if you need me I'll be sat in front of my laptop waiting,"

"Well I need to go out for a minute," Lily said

"Where?" He asked

"I'm meeting the girls for dinner," She lied. In truth, she was going to meet the man who had answered the number in Ali's coat pocket

Hanna came to pick her up and passed her a book across the console, Lolita

"What's this?" Lily asked

"So he'll know it's you," She said "I borrowed it from Ali years ago. The author of the book's name also means Vivian Darkbloom,"

"Oh," She nodded "Thanks,"

When they arrived at the diner, Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily sat in a booth while Lily went in one next to them, placing the Lolita book down visibly

Lily ordered herself a tea and was impatiently waiting for someone to arrive

"So, you're a friend of Vivian's." Someone said and she jumped. He was a man who looked to be about in his 30s

"Yeah." Lily replied and he sat opposite her in the booth 

"How much money does she owe you?" He asked and she was confused 

"Vivian owes you money?" She asked 

"She owes me a lot more than money." He scoffed "She owes me a job and she almost owes me a girlfriend thanks to you calling that number."

Lily chuckled "You said that she cost you a job. What did she do?" 

"I worked at Allegheny Cellular. Human resources." He explained "Your friend came in asking for a job, but she didn't want a job, she wanted information, and she said she'd pay for it." 

"What kind of information?" She asked

The man opposite her suddenly smirked and let out a laugh "I get it." He nodded "You're Alison."
