Did You Miss Me?

Lily had told Jason she forgot something at Hanna's before heading out of her house and following Emily's location to where it was stopped

When she got there she saw Mona and Emily standing in front of her car so she got out of hers too 

"What's going on?" Lily asked

"Mona was the one who called Charlotte from the Two Crows on the night she was killed" Emily explained

"Were you?" Lily asked her

"I was" Mona sighed

"Why?" Emily asked 

"I asked her to meet me." She said 

"At the church?" Lily asked 

"At The Two Crows." She explained "I sat in that diner waiting for two hours. She never showed up. Look, if someone saw me on the phone, they saw me sitting there by myself with a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie."

"Was that your only time at The Two Crows?" Emily asked "Last Friday night someone tried to run me over in the parking lot there."

"I was still working for Yvonne's mother then." Mona said "Making phone calls in a room with half dozen volunteers." 

"You wanted Charlotte released." Lily added "That's why you had a change of heart in the hearing. You were afraid my story would convince the judge to keep her in the hospital, where you couldn't get to her."

"I wasn't trying to get to her." Mona said "I just wanted to talk to her, away from everyone else. You understand that." 

"Sure." Emily scoffed "After the special attention you got at the bottom of a certain hole." 

"Not just me, Emily." Mona said "Charlotte DiLaurentis knew everything about every one of us. Every mistake, every lie, every crime. And she never implicated us the five years she was locked up. She just sat in that hospital ticking like a time bomb."

"And what would you have done if she'd shown up?" Lily asked 

"Find out what she was gonna do with all her new freedom." She answered

"And if she said she was gonna tell everything were you just gonna sit there eating your apple pie?" Emily asked "Or maybe you were thinking about doing something to stop her." 

"Doesn't matter what I was thinking." She shrugged "The fact is, she never showed up."

"I'll drive you back." Emily said to her 

"What if it had been you?" Mona asked "What if you called her and she showed up? What would you have done?"

Lily and Emily shared an uncomfortable look at the accusation. Then there was a loud sound of banging of bins falling from behind them and cats screeching, which made them jump. So they quickly got in their cars and went home

The next day Lily had been planning on relaxing but she got a call from Elliot saying Ali was in hospital so she drove out to the nearby town they were staying inn to visit her in hospital

"Hey" Lily smiled at her best friend as she walked into her hospital room "I'm so glad to see you" She leaned down to hug Ali and then greeted Elliot "What happened? I thought you were on your honeymoon"

"I fell down the stairs" She sighed

"And got a concussion" Elliot added

"So how long are you going to be in here?" Lily asked

"The doctors will do some more tests later to check, but for now they want her to stay put" Elliot explained "And I agree"

"But I want to go home" Ali groaned
