For Whom The Bell Tolls

The brunette pushed open the church doors, she heard a loud thud from above and could hear voices

"Oh, you didn't mean to hurt Alison, huh? It was an accident." Ian Thomas was saying and Lily clenched her fists "You pushed her, and she fell"

"Is that what happened?" It was Spencer Hastings. She heard Spencer grunt again and realised Ian was trying to hurt her. The girl quietly and slowly began to make her way up the wooden stairs, trying to reach them before Ian could hear her coming

"She just hit her head and she never woke up."

"Alison died of suffocation."

"Yeah, the letter that I wrote on your computer won't answer all the questions," She heard another thud and a cracking of wood, she could see the heel of Spencer's shoe over the edge of the wood and she anxiously sped up to reach them quickly "But it will answer enough. The guilt was just too much for you."

He pushed her against the wooden railing which broke. Spencer's life now depended on Ian not letting go

"Aah! No! No!" She gasped "Please, if you love my sister, you won't do this." The Brunette had nearly reached them

"I'm doing it because I love her." Ian said. Spencer lost her footing and slipped from the side, but she kept one hand holding the edge and the other on Ian's arm "Let go of me!" Ian finally heard the footsteps and looked away from the dangling girl, he looked up at the familiar brunette who was looking at him with a murderous glare "What are you doing here?"

"Finishing what I should have done," She snarled and the base of her boot met his chest, sending him toppling over the edge. She ignored his scream and the bell tolling loudly and crouched down to pull Spencer up to safety on the wood

Spencer looked up at the girl who had saved her, it was Lily Jackson

Lily Jackson was back in Rosewood. She had enough of Ian's threats and had come back to sort them out for good, to sort him out for good.

Lily wouldn't let Ian keep her out of town, her home. He had messaged her with another threat that morning and she had finally snapped, deciding the only way to deal with it was to sort him out in person. 

"Lily?" Spencer asked as she gasped for air

"You're okay Spence," Lily smiled reassuringly "He can't hurt you, I promise,"

"Is he dead?" Spencer asked and turned to look down but Lily grabbed her face in her hands

"It doesn't matter Spence, he's gone and he's out of our lives," Spencer nodded shakily and they heard the church doors open

"Spencer!"

"Spencer!"

"Spence! Spencer!"

"Spence!"

"Where is she?!"

"Spencer! Spencer!"

Lily stepped away from Spencer as Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields and Hanna Marin came sprinting towards Spencer. Pulling the shaky girl into a tight hug.

"You're okay," Emily breathed in relief "How did you do it?"

"I thought he killed you," Aria shook her head. Spencer couldn't seem to form words and simply looked over at Lily, the other 3 quickly followed her gaze

"Lily?" Hanna asked

"Hey guys," She smiled

"You saved Spencer?" Aria asked "You killed Ian?"

"What I did was save us all from that creep, he's finally out of our lives for good," She said "We need to call the police and get the hell out of here,"

"I told Officer Garret-"

"Garret? As in Garrett Reynolds?" Lily asked

"Yeah," Hanna said "You know him?"

"I used to," She replied

"I told him to follow us when Spencer called," As if on cue they began to hear police sirens outside the church

"Then let's go," Lily said

"You're back 2 seconds and expect us to follow your orders?" Aria scoffed

"I'll explain everything later, but let's get out of here. Now." She said firmly and the other 4 girls followed her down the stairs and out of the church doors as police swarmed the building, Lily told them Ian had tripped and fallen into the bell ropes and that was it

But then they discovered something horrible

Ian's body wasn't there.

Lily shook her head and left the building, pausing on the steps when she realised a crowd had gathered outside of the church when they had seen the police sirens. She scanned the crowd and her eyes landed on a familiar face. Noel Kahn

He looked at her in shock and she made her way down the steps quickly, he ducked under the police tape and headed towards her

"Lily? What the hell are you doing-?" His question was cut off by her arms making their way around his torso. Noel quickly responded and brought her into a tight embrace "You're back?"

"Yeah," she replied softly and felt her phone ring so she pulled it out and read the text on her home screen

Lily looked over at the 4 girls who were looking at her with equal fear on their faces. A was going to ruin their lives forever.
