The Good-bye Look

"What the hell was that?" Lily asked as the banging was heard again

"Did things just get incredibly worse?" Aria asked

"I can't believe this. Ian's dead." Lily shook her head "I killed him,"

"No, zombie's don't text!" Hanna snapped "Okay? He is alive somewhere."

Aria looked at Spencer in panic as another message was sent from the blocked number, Spencer opened it and frowned at the message

"What is it?" Emily asked

"If you still don't believe me then tell Lily this." Spencer read out and glanced at Lily who froze "Tell her I still have the photo,"

Lily felt panic bubble up in her chest "Shit, shit, shit,"

"What picture?" Hanna asked but Lily didn't hear her as she had begun pacing frantically "Lily! What picture?!"

"He has a picture of Jason and I!" Lily cried "He threatened to go to the police with it! Jason could go to jail for that! We need to just get rid of this phone"

"Okay I'll get the phone home before Melissa realises it's gone," Spencer nodded

"Okay, you put it back, and then what do we do?" Emily asked in panic "Do we call the cops?"

"Oh, yeah, because that always works out so well for us." Hanna hissed

"Why is Ian texting Melissa?" Aria asked

"And why is Melissa answering him?"

"Is she?" Emily said "I mean, we don't know how long this has been going on."

Lily turned to Spencer "Spencer, look, you've gotta find out what Ian told Melissa. You're the only one who can find out what he wants. And where he is." They heard a clatter from outside the greenhouse and Lily wanted nothing more than to get home

"Let's get out of here!" Spencer exclaimed and the 5 girls rushed outside back to their cars

"Let's finish this in the morning, okay?" Hanna suggested "I'm cold, damp and scared. We can talk at school."

"We can't talk at school, remember?" Aria said "The four of us are supposed to be having "separate time.""

"Doctor's orders." Emily sighed

"So, what are we supposed to do, not talk to each other? We're in the same classes." Hanna said

"You can talk through me," Lily suggested "But you guys have to play it cool," They were interrupted by another clatter which came from the Dilaurentis house but it wasn't what Lily had expected

Jason was outside the house emptying stuff into his bins

"It's Jason," Spencer whispered and all of the 4 girls glanced at Lily to see her reaction. Truthfully she didn't know what to think, a part of her was happy to see him again, another part of her was nervous to talk to him again

"Did he move back in?" Hanna asked and they watched him throw away more stuff into the bins

"What is all that?" Spencer asked

"That's all that stuff that those people left on my curb when Ali went missing, those tributes." Aria explained and Lily was confused, why would Jason throw away memorials to his sister?

"Maya said her family kept those things when they moved in." Emily added "They didn't have the heart to throw them out."

Lily rolled her eyes "Apparently Jason's moved on." The girls knew there was a hidden meaning behind those words, Lily was pissed that Jason hadn't come to see her or told her he was back
