This Is a Dark Ride

Lily had only been in hospital for a day, and in her short visit she had been visited by Garrett who was now officially a free man, and Jason who had come back to Rosewood as soon as he had heard what happened in the lighthouse

Caleb was still recovering, he had surgery on his spleen already which was successful and was now working on regaining full mobility of his entire body since some things were still painful for him to do

But right now it was Halloween so the girls all had their minds on tonight's party aboard the ghost train

"Give me a hint." Hanna asked for the hundredth time as Spencer still refused to tell her what her costume for tonight would be  

"I will not give you a hint." Spencer laughed "We made a deal. You'll see my costume tonight at the party." 

"But what if we end up wearing the same thing?" Hanna asked 

"We are not going to be wearing the same thing, I promise you." She replied and they continued to walk in silence for a few moments 

"Look, I'll give you a hint if you give me a hint." Hanna said and the girls all laughed 

"No hints, okay?" Aria interrupted "We said we're gonna pick somebody from a movie, and we're all gonna surprise each other." 

"Whose stupid idea was that?" Hanna scoffed 

"Yours." Lily pointed out

Aria noticed Emily at the back of the group who hadn't really spoken much at all today "Em, you sure you want to do this thing?" 

"I want to do this." Emily nodded "I need to do it. I want something big and splashy to mark the whole "before" and "after" of everything." 

"Symbols and ceremonies?" 

"And plus there's mystery live entertainment." Aria added 

"I have to get to the dentist." Hanna suddenly said and Lily rolled her eyes, knowing very well she wasn't going to the dentist

"How is Caleb?" Lily asked teasingly and Hanna rolled her eyes with a smile 

"He's getting better. He was easier when he was in the hospital, though. Now he's got out, and we have to go under the radar." She explained 

"You're sure you want to go on the ghost train?" Aria asked her 

"Yeah. Otherwise I'm stuck with my mom and pastor Ted handing out candy to rug rats." Hanna frowned 

"Your mum and pastor Ted?" Lily asked in surprise 

"Yeah. They're getting pretty domestic." Hanna shuddered 

"I'd tell her to go for it." Aria shrugged "My mom moved on." 

"Oh, my God." Emily whispered and the girls all stopped, following where she was looking. On the lawn of the house in front of them was a coffin with 'RIP Alison Dilaurentis' written on as a halloween decoration 

"Okay, who would do that?" Hanna said in disgust 

"It's Clifford Yerdley's house." Lily answered "He's such an astonishing jerk." 

"Joke's over." Emily said and walked over to the plastic coffin. As she approached it, it opened and Clifford jumped out dressed in a skeleton costume with a blonde wig 

"You are such a tremendous loser!" Hanna called after him

"You know, this is why nobody will go out with you!" Lily added 

"Let's get outta here," Emily said and the five girls continued walking down the street

Lily spent the rest of her afternoon going on a run before she got back home to start getting ready for the halloween party tonight. Lily put her hair into loose waves and she put on her black sleeveless dress which had a long slit up her right leg where she could place her fake gun and holster, and finally she also put on her black heels
