That Girl Is Poison

A lot had changed in Rosewood, for starters Garrett's mum had been rushed to hospital and now Lily was feeling the stress of trying to hurry up the process of getting Garrett out of jail so he could go visit her, and Jenna had finally revealed to the rest of the world that she could see again so at least that was a secret the girls no longer had to keep

But Spencer was furious at Lily for not telling them it had been her idea for Veronica Hastings to defend Garrett, and Lily and Hanna hadn't spoken since Hanna and Caleb broke up since Hanna found it too awkward to talk to Caleb's best friend

And now Garrett was going to be allowed to visit his mother in hospital on compassionate furlough so Spencer and Emily were both angry at Lily since they still believed he was guilty of murdering Alison and Maya

So school had become pretty lonely for Lily at the minute since Caleb had gone back to Montecito to be with his family after his mother had gotten into a car crash

"Lily," She looked up from her phone at the voice of Jenna Marshall

"What?" Lily sighed

"Here," Jenna passed a black card into Lily's hands "It's an invitation to my birthday party, I hope you'll be there,"

"I'll think about it," Lily said and stood up to walk away 

"Since when has Lily Jackson turned down a party?" Jenna asked

"Since her friends won't speak to her, her best friend isn't even here and her boyfriend won't talk to her either," Lily snapped and let out a sigh "But you know what, drinking does actually sound like a good idea right about now," And with that she walked away from Jenna

The next 24 hours passed quickly and soon enough Lily was at the Rosewood hospital to see Garrett who was going to visit his mother

"Garrett," Lily smiled, genuinely relieved to see him out even if he still had his hands cuffed in front of him

"Lily," He smiled and she helped him pick out a vase of flowers to leave his mother, completely unaware to Spencer watching them from around the corner. Once Garret had written a note for his mother, Lily left the hospital to go home and get ready for Jenna's party

She settled on wearing a black skirt, patterned sheer tights, black heeled boots and a red low cut top with her black jacket and beanie before she locked her front door and drove to Jenna's party at the brew which had been all decorated and looked amazing

"Lily!" Jenna gasped when he saw her walk in "You look amazing,"

"Happy birthday Jenna," Lily gave her a hint of a smile and went to get a drink from the bar, when she was given her rum and coke she downed it quickly and then ordered another one

"Woah," A boy she had never met has just watched her down that drink like it was water "Are you trying to get drunk?"

"Yes," She replied "Who are you?"

"I'm Nate, Maya's cousin," He introduced himself and Lily realised who he was from what Emily had told her about him

"Lily," She nodded and walked off with her drink to join in the party

Lily couldn't remember much after the first two drinks, but then the drinks kept flowing and she could vaguely remember going to smoke weed outside with Noel before they ordered a round of shots and went back to dancing

And by 1am she was the life of the party and drunk out of her mind

"Oh my god," Aria sighed as she watched Lily and Noel taking a shot of tequila each, what must  have been her eighth of the night. Aria pulled her phone from her pocket and dialled the number of Jason DiLaurentis

"Hello?" Jason's gruff voice came through the phone, indicating that he must have been asleep before she called

"Jason, hey it's Aria. Um, you need to come get Lily," Aria said

"Why? What's wrong?" He asked

"We're at a party at the brew and she's been drinking and smoking all night, she can hardly stand up anymore and she won't be able to get home in this state," Aria explained

"I'm on my way," Jason said and hung up

Aria tried to keep her eye on Lily but it was hard to do amongst the large crowd of the party when everyone was dancing and drinking but for the most part she managed to have Lily somewhere within her eyesight

Lily was busy dancing with Noel and Jenna having the time of her life

"Let's do another round!" Noel shouted over the music and the two girls cheered

"I don't think that's a good idea," A rough voice said from behind them and Lily turned around to see Jason there

"What do you want?" Lily slurred "Come to shout at me?"

"Lily I'm taking you home," He sighed "You're about to pass out and you have no way of getting home like this,"

"What, you're going to take advantage of me like Eric did?" Lily chuckled dryly and Jason's heart broke at the memory of what happened that night

"I never would," He said and wrapped his arm around her waist "Come on, Lil,"

"No," She whined but Jason was much stronger than her and could easily lead her outside and into his car. With her state Lily was screaming along to the lyrics of every song that came on the radio and Jason decided it wouldn't be smart to wake her mother up by taking her home so he settled on taking her back to his house

When they parked outside his house Jason wrapped his arm around her again and brought her inside and up to his room. Lily perched herself on the end of his bed and reached out for him

"I want you," She whined

"You're drunk," Jason sighed

"But I want you," She complained

"Not while you're drunk," He whispered and crouched down to take off her shoes. His eyes were only on her shoes so he didn't even notice she was crying until he heard her sniff "Lil," He said and placed a hand on her cheek "What's wrong?"

"You hate me," She whispered and Jason felt like someone had just grabbed his heart out of his chest

"Babe of course I don't," He shook his head "I love you so, so much, I'm just an idiot and I do things wrong,"

"But you don't talk to me," She sniffed

"Because I'm stupid," He said gently "But I love you Lily, I'll always love you," Lily nodded tiredly and she shakily stood up to slip off her tights and skirt, Jason passed her a clean pair of his boxers to put on and she took a shirt to wear too

Jason had intended on leaving her to sleep in his bed while he took the guest room but he was happily surprised when Lily pulled him into bed with her and buried her face in his chest

The couple lay in silence for a long time, both awake but neither saying a word until Jason felt his chest begin to get wet and he realised Lily was crying again

"What's wrong?" He whispered

"I'm scared," Lily admitted

"Of what?"

"I slipped tonight," She said shakily "I haven't been drunk in a long time and I don't want to be sent away again,"

"I'll help you," Jason said "We can get through it together, I'll be next to you every step of the way I promise," Lily nodded and she finally closed her eyes, letting herself fall into a deep sleep
