Bloody Hell

Life had become a routine for Lily over the last few months. Wake up. Change. Eat. Read. Eat. Read. Eat. Change. Sleep.

That was all she could do in jail. She had now read Crime and Punishment what was probably 100 times since coming in here since that was the only book they had given her to entertain herself

The jail had offered her supervised visitors but she had said no. She knew if she saw Jason she would cry until her eyes were dry

So she was surprised when her routine was interrupted by a police officer coming into her cell. Lily put her book down and looked up at him

"Come with me" He instructed and she followed him out of her cell. He walked her past the other cells and out into the front office where a guard handed her a clear bag which she could see contained the clothes she had been wearing before she was arrested

"What is this?" Lily asked

"You're being released" The guard said

"What?" 

"The police department found enough evidence to prove Bethany's death had been an accident so they're releasing you" He explained and Lily smiled, her eyes filling with happy tears "You can change and then you're free to go. Do you have someone to pick you up?"

"Could you call Jason Dilaurentis?" She asked and the guard nodded

Lily was taken to a bathroom where she changed into her clothes and as she looked at herself in the mirror she wanted to cry in relief. But she held her tears back and was led out of the prison, being driven to the back entrance of the Rosewood Police Department

Lily walked through and had to sign her release forms before she was officially a free woman

She pushed open the doors and her eyes settled on Jason who had just been getting out of his car.

Lily ran down the steps and he ran towards her, meeting her in the middle when she jumped into his arms

He held her tightly and buried his face into her neck, while her tears rolled onto his shoulder "You're here" He whispered in relief "You're really here"

"Don't let me go" She whimpered "Please"

"Never" He replied and Lily leaned back enough to cup his cheeks before leaning up to press her lips against his. Jason sighed in relief as he kissed her back, not caring if anyone saw or judged, his girl was back and safe and he had never been happier

And the second they entered Lily's bedroom his lips were attached to hers again. And he spent the rest of the night with his lips touching every inch of her skin, reassuring himself and her that they were together again

The next morning Jason made her a full breakfast in bed before she was going to see her friends at Aria's, but he came with her because he never wanted to leave her side

When she walked through the door they all immediately pulled her into a hug and she had never felt so happy in her life

"What have I missed?" Lily asked

"Ali's now in jail for murdering Mona and Mrs Hastings is defending her to get her released, A put Cyrus in hospital, Spencer fled to London, and we're all being investigated by the police," Emily explained

"That's it?" Lily was surprised there hadn't been more. But the look Hanna and Jason shared told her there was something she didn't know "What?"

"Ashley kissed me" Jason said "She was helping me with some work and kissed me, but I pushed her off"

"I'm sorry about her," Hanna said

"Don't worry about it," Lily replied

"You're not mad?" Jason asked

"No" She said simply "Prison was hell. And I've learned that I need to make the most out of whatever time I have out of there, and I don't want to spend that time being mad at everyone"

After the group had had lunch together, Lily went home alone since Jason had work and she was watching a movie with Teddy until there was a knock at her front door so she got up to open it

But she hadn't expected to see Gabe there "Hi" She said in surprise

"Hey" He replied "I heard you got released and wanted to see how you were"

"I'm okay" She nodded

"Good," He smiled 

"Was it you?" Lily asked "They told me the police had found evidence Bethany's death was involuntary manslaughter, was it you that found it?"

"It was" He nodded

"Why?" She asked

"Well firstly because even though you confessed I didn't think you had intentionally killed her" He explained "You're tough but you're not a violent person and I wanted to make sure you only served for the correct sentence"

"And secondly?"

"Because I wanted to help you," He said "I told you I'd always help you and I will."

"Gabe-"

"I know you're taken and I'm not trying to one up him or anything like that, but I do care about you," He said "That's all I wanted to say. I hope you're okay" He smiled at her again before walking down her porch and into his car
