The Gloves Are On

Lily was one of the first liars to be called into the Rosewood Police Department and as she sat opposite Lorenzo the room suddenly felt tiny

She began to fiddle with the ends of her sleeves as she grew uncomfortable sitting there

"You okay?" Lorenzo asked and that snapped her out of her daze

"Um, I'm fine" She nodded stiffly "Just a bit claustrophobic" 

"Then I'll try make this brief" He said "Let's start the day before Charlotte Dilaurentis died. Where were you when she was released?"

"I was at the Radley hotel bar with Hanna, Aria, Spencer, and Emily" She said "We had been planning on meeting there for dinner anyway but we were all there when we got the text from Alison saying Charlotte was released"

"Did you go anywhere?" He asked

"No" She said "We stayed there and drank for hours and then when the bar we closed we all headed up to Hanna's suite to have more drinks from her minibar"

"You stayed there for the rest of the night?"

"Yeah. I drank so much that I threw up in a plant pot and then passed out in her armchair" She explained

"So you weren't in a fit state to walk anywhere?" He asked

"I lost my shoes during all the drinking in the suite and I could barely stand so definitely not" She added

"Are you aware that the security footage from the Radley hotel lobby is all missing from after midnight on the night Charlotte was murdered?" He asked

"What?" She lied "No of course I didn't know. So do you think whoever murdered Charlotte was in the hotel that night?"

"Either that or there's some evidence in there" He nodded "Do you know anything else about what happened that night?"

"I'm sorry I don't" She said and then she was excused from the station so she hurried home

She spent the rest of her day with Jason and her mother, and was planning on doing a quiet night home in front of the TV, but she got a call from Hanna telling her to come to the Radley bar so she put on her heels and headed out

When she got there she found Hanna at one of the sofas with a drink already in hand

"What's going on?" Lily asked her when she sat down

"Spencer came over" She sighed "She told me that she has feelings for Caleb"

"oh my god" Lily whispered "Are you okay?"

"I don't know" She said "I needed to drink and I figured who better to drink with than you?"

"I'm honoured" She laughed and ordered a mojito "Cheers to enjoying our A free lives"

"Cheers" Hanna giggled "Coming back here I never imagined our lives could get so screwed up so quick"

"That's Rosewood for you" Lily sighed "This place is full of murderers, liars, and backstabbers" 

"Which category do we fall into?" She asked 

"All three" Lily grinned and she laughed "I have a feeling my two weeks off work won't be enough"

"Tell me about it," Hanna said "My life before this was so normal but we're back here and I feel like we're in high school again"

"It's weird though, how easily I slipped back into this life" Lily said "Almost scary"

"I know" She nodded "Before this I never lied to Jordan and now I do it as easily as I used to with Caleb. Does Jason know what's going on?"

"He knows the police are questioning us about Charlotte" She said "He doesn't know about Aria yet"
