Taking This One to the Grave

"Lily" Gabe was surprised to see her walking into the police station "I'm sorry I can't talk right now, Alison's here to be interviewed and-"

"I know" She said "I'm here to see it"

He nodded and led her with him to a room which had a window that through which they could see Alison sitting with a doctor, and he had set up a lie detector machine to her

"I'm going to ask you a series of questions that we know are true. Then I will ask you questions that we don't know." The doctor was saying "Your body's responses will indicate whether you're being honest with us or not. When you tell the truth, you use your memory. When you lie, you're using your imagination. The sensors will detect that change. Do you understand how it works?" Alison nodded "Answer verbally." 

"I understand." She replied 

"So we'll begin." He said "Are you sitting down?" 

"Yes." She nodded 

"What colour is your shirt?" He asked 

"White with pink flowers." 

"State your legal name." 

"Alison Lauren DiLaurentis." 

"Who else was in the barn that night?" He asked 

"Aria Montgomery. Hanna Marin. Lily Jackson...And Emily Fields." Ali answered and Lily furrowed her brows 

"When you left the barn, were they all still sleeping?" He asked 

"Yes." She said 

"Where did you last see Spencer Hastings?"

"She came to my house"

"You were the leader of the group, right?"

"Unofficially" 

"And your friends would have done anything to help you? If you needed them"

"I think so"

"Was Spencer a loyal friend?"

"As far as I knew"

"Why was she at your house?"

"It was my fault." Ali said "I pushed her to that place."

"What place?"

"She was angry"

"Did you know Spencer was abusing amphetamines?"

"I found out that night"

"Because she was under the influence?"

"She dropped her pills. I saw what they were"

"Would you say she was desperate?"

"For what?" Ali asked

"For you to keep her secret" He explained

"She was emotional" She answered "But I promised her I wouldn't say anything"

"And in return for your silence what was she willing to do?" He asked

"I wouldn't know. We never discussed it again."

"Is there something else you'd like to tell me?"

"I didn't have anything to do with Bethany Young's murder" Ali said and that was the end of the interview. At the end of it Gabe drove Alison home and Lily went with them so she could comfort her best friend

As they walked into the living room his eyes settled on the grand piano "Do you play?" He asked her 

"Sorry?"
