Run Ali Run

The group still stood outside Toby's house, or at least what was left of it. And the six girls reluctantly pulled out their phones to see what they knew what was coming

Did you miss me, bitches? - A

"It can't be." Emily said "Shana's dead." 

Jason saw the look of fear on Lily's face and wrapped an arm around her shoulders in comfort

"Where's Toby?" Hanna asked. He still hadn't come out of the house 

"I don't know." Spencer replied

And then there was another explosion from within the house. An explosion so large no one inside could have survived it

But where the hell was Toby?

The police and ambulances finally arrived so the six girls headed up to Emily's room where Spencer got a call from Toby which made them all relieved since they now knew he was alive "Will you please call me later?...Okay....Bye."

She hung up and turned back to the girls "Well, what did Toby say?" 

"Nobody was inside the house." She said 

"Thank God." 

"Yeah, but his dad did break his leg trying to avoid a tree coming down." She added 

"It could've been worse." Lily pointed out

"Yeah. Caleb's with them at the hospital." Spencer told Hanna who nodded 

"Guys, what does this mean?" Ali asked, referring to the text they had all received "That we were wrong about Shana?" 

"That A's alive and knows that I killed her." Aria said 

"That's impossible." Emily said "We all heard what Shana said in that theatre." 

"No, she never said that she was A. She never used those words." Aria pointed out

"She had everything but the letter painted on her." Emily argued 

"Em, come on. We got a text seconds after the house blew up. Either Shana can cause explosions from the grave or A is back." Lily exclaimed 

"Or never left." Spencer added 

"Well, what are you saying?" Emily asked 

"I think A took a nap and woke up tonight. A's been here the whole time just watching us, waiting for the right moment to resurface." She explained 

"But why now?" Ali asked 

"That's what we have to figure out."

After the events of that night Lily had hardly slept. Jason had dropped her off at home and although she had promised him she would get some rest, every time she closed her eyes all she could hear was the bang of the explosion from Toby's house

And when she got to school the next day it was clear the other girls had all struggled as well, given the jumpiness of Emily

When lunch came Lily couldn't stomach the thought of eating anything so instead she just went to sit at the table where her friends already were

"Hey" She sighed

"Hi"

"How are you doing?" Emily asked her

"Shit" She answered "These last two weeks have been nothing but crap. Is Toby still at the hospital?" 

"Uh, yeah. He's there with Jenna and her mum." Spencer nodded
