"We have a major problem several celebrities were abducted from a movie premiere just hours ago."
Strange looks at Fury in disbelief his expression conveying complete and utter annoyance. I kind of agree kidnapped celebrities are a big problem but way below the Avengers pay grade. I don't know exactly what being the Sorcerer Supreme entails but he probably has more important things to focus on at the Sanctum. Strange voices his opinion.
"Not that that's not a serious problem but why is this any of the Avengers concern that sounds like a problem for the CIA."
Fury looks at him seriously.
"Stephen I wouldn't have called you here if I didn't think this was an Avengers level threat. It was a very public alien abduction. The assailant left us a message too."
Fury gestures towards the screen behind him and a video starts playing its probably a video taken by the studio to gauge the reaction of this audience to the film. At first it seems like a normal movie premiere. It's actually a movie I'd been looking forward to Lobster-Man a comic book movie staring Rick Turk as the titular character, Mary Jane Watson as the main female lead, and most importantly Tom Hiddleston in the leading villain role.
'Shit he didn't get abducted did he?' Because that's definitely an Avengers level threat. The premiere seems to actually start the director and producer saying a few words before the opening credits begin to play. Suddenly the credits are interrupted and a ugly face that I recognize takes up the screen laughing at the audience's confusion and panic as his goons teleport into the theater. The good mood I'd managed to slip into thanks to Lo' despite today's awful start disappears.
"Mojo."
I'm kind of annoyed really he's one of the most irritating and dangerous villains I've faced with the X-men. Fury pauses the video.
"Sam you know him?"
I sigh already knowing this is going to be a long mission. I am not in the mood to deal with this asshat hormones or no. At least the cramps are gone.
"Yes... he must have gotten bored again... just watch he's probably going to give us his coordinates so we can go there and provide entertainment for his audience in an arena or some twisted tv show of some kind... you guys keep watching I'm gonna call the X-men we've danced with this guy before."
Fury looks surprised at me taking charge of the mission the way I am but honestly my crabbiness is helping me to feel a bit braver than usual and I just really want to get this over with as quickly and painlessly as possible. I glance to Steve and suddenly realize I might be stepping on his toes. I may be bitchy and on my period but I'm not gonna undermine Steve's role as the team leader. I look to him apologetically.
"Is that cool with you Cap?"
He nods not seeming like he really minded me butting in the way I did but obviously accepting my silent apology all the same.
"If you've faced that... thing before you probably have a better idea of what to do than I do."
I nod slightly before excusing myself from the room and calling Logan. He's not happy to hear that Mojo's back but he tells me he'll get a team together and to tell him where we should meet up as soon as I know more details.
