Peter looks at the screen in disgust I kind of get it this is an especially gruesome scene.

"Why do you watch this show? Everyone in it's so horrible!"

I fake a gasp.

"You hush your mouth! Frenchie, Hughie, and Annie are lill beans!"

"Ok fine I'll give you that but wouldn't you rather watch a show that's less depressing? Like Friends or something? I just don't understand why you choose to watch this."

I think for a minute. 'Why do I choose to watch this?'

"...I guess it just reminds me that real life's not so bad even though I'm being targeted my life's not horrible... at least it's not anymore."

The mood in the air becomes heavy because of my mention of my past so I quickly change the subject not wanting him to ask me about it or even for me to have to think about it for another second.

"Besides Antony Starr's adorable in real life."

He laughs.

"Don't let Lokes hear you he's gonna get jelly!"

"Oh I know believe me, he's already threatened to murder Tom Hiddleston."

"He better not, unless he's in the mood to face an army of fan girls."

"That's what I told him!"

We laugh and speculate about the idea of Lo' taking on various celebrities for a bit but eventually I get sucked back in to my show. Between the silly conversation and the show it's almost enough to completely distract myself from my anxiety about what Loki's up to right now, almost. I really hope he's careful I couldn't stand it if anything happened to him... 'God? Norns? Whoever's in charge of the universe, please keep my husband safe.'

We finally reach what I assume to be Weapons Plus' base of operations. We're currently hidden in a tree line a few hundred feet away from the base. I begin to concoct a plan Logan and Laura both seem keen on listening to my ideas because although from fighting beside them before I've gathered they can both be impulsive on occasion, they've also seen how effective my strategies are.

This is more than I could say for Thor, Sif and the Warriors Three as they seemed happy to run into battle headfirst without a second thought as to what they would be facing often ignoring my pleas to stop and think things through. Sif would pound some sense into them every now and then when they were being particularly hard headed.

Still, nine times out of ten when such an occasion arose I'd end up saving their hides after their stupidity had already complicated the situation to the point of their desperation. Nobody cared what Thor's little brother had to say until they found themselves backed against a wall.

Suddenly then my strategies weren't considered a waste of time. Later the stories would be altered out of their embarrassment at needing the help of someone most considered a weakling. Though it hurt never being recognized for one of the only skills I excel at in battle I never said anything about it.

I didn't do it to seek glory, back then I only craved acceptance. I thought if I did say anything they wouldn't have me anymore. I finish explaining the plan which Logan and Laura have been listening intently to and we check to make sure that our coms are working before we split up, for now we are to remain unseen as we make our way into the base undetected.

As I sneak around (it's terribly easy as Midgard's technology can't see through my illusions and the hallways are sparsely populated) I overhear a conversation that makes a smirk form on my lips. It's not exactly good news for our plans but the fear in their voices is exactly what I desired when I plotted my revenge.

"Sir? There's been a breach... it isn't S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Then why are we worried?"

I check in with Laura and Logan as the man voices his well placed concerns about the situation. I'm told everything's in place for us to begin there were three prisoners here, all heavily sedated. Laura's with them in the jet now having been able to extract them without triggering any alarms. We will worry about helping them when we're through here.

"...Sir if it's him we would have been better off turning ourselves in..."

I smirk again at the fear in the man's voice. I then lift my cloaking spell, leave my Evan Chrisman form, and step into the light. I keep my voice nonchalant for the moment it's always fun to save the rage for later.

"Indeed you would have. ...I'm gonna burn this place to the ground."

The looks on their faces are priceless as is the satisfaction of the events that transpire next.
