Sam mumbles to herself as we take in the scene in front of us.
"Well maybe this isn't a blockbuster exactly."
We're on a beach no one else is here but there's debris that's clearly the result of a plane crash. Sam takes in the scene around us and groans as she spots the charred remains of the plane's logo.
"Please don't let this be what I think it is."
She carefully wipes some of the soot away. She frowns looking at the unobscured logo.
"Son of a bitch."
"What?"
"Mojo's shows are sometimes heavily based off of TV shows and movies from Earth, don't ask why I don't know, but I recognize that logo and this isn't gonna be fun."
She seems to be deep in thought.
"So if we're going by Truman show logic where would the control room be... no that's stupid it wouldn't be out at sea... maybe the swan? ...the looking glass? The other island? ...No, The heart of the island duh."
She starts walking towards the jungle I grab her arm. I'm incredibly confused she's spouting nonsense.
"Darling I don't understand."
She seems to realize I'm not following her train of thought at all.
"Right, see whatever show Mojo's made here it's based on Lost, I used to watch it with my parents."
She actually smiles a bit at the memory apparently she regards it fondly.
"They used to tell me it was too mature for me but eventually they gave up on kicking me out of the room when it came on..."
Her nostalgia is laced with a sad kind of fondness, a happy memory of a time before things went terribly wrong for her. She goes on.
"Lucky for us I've watched this series at least twice all the way through and some episodes more than that. Though I don't have the layout of the island memorized or anything like that... unfortunately I'm not that big of a nerd."
"Well where is this heart of the island? I mean there must be some defining landmarks near it to help us find it."
"It's at the end of a stream."
"So we'll find a river or stream and follow it."
"Exactly, we should really get moving though if it gets too boring Mojo will spice things up and I DO NOT feel like fighting a polar bear in the jungle."
'A polar bear on a tropical island?' ...I can't tell if she's joking or not. I decide not to ask, after all as far as knowledge of our current situation goes she's the expert. She turns to me again before we start towards the jungle.
"By the way if you see black smoke we should high tail it and get to cover ASAP."
I nod though I don't understand at all why we should be fearful of smoke, I'm sure I'll catch on soon enough. We begin our trek through the rainforest and a musical score begins playing its filled with what sounds like a piano, violin, and slowly repeating harp notes. Sam chuckles slightly though it's clear she's still not happy about our situation.
"Yup we're definitely in Lost, FYI if the music starts getting trombone and percussion heavy shit's about to hit the fan."
'Noted.' I nod and observe our surroundings as we walk. I must say though I know it's not real and only a set it feels real and if Sam hadn't explained everything I would think it such. We walk for about twenty minutes before stumbling upon a cave running through the cave is water meaning we've found our water source to follow. As we follow the water I can't help but wonder about the situations the rest of our teammates have found themselves in...
