—-Loki—-
I take in the woman's appearance she's fair skinned with wild raven hair wearing a dress with layers of dark shades of purples and blues. I don't recognize her at all. I smile she's obviously some wannabe sorceress Mephisto is using for his dirty work since I bound him to Hell. Seriously it's insulting he thinks I'll be taken down by a nobody!
"I'm sorry do I know you?"
"The name's Agatha, Agatha Harkness its lovely to finally meet you dear."
"Hmm yes charmed I'm sure, now I was in the middle of celebrating a summer festival so if you'll kindly tell me what you want so I can simply defeat you and return home..."
She laughs.
"Oh defeat me now? Good luck with that good lookin' you're not leaving here until I finish my job."
She turns and stoops down to pick something up from the shadows then turns back around holding a rabbit, or at least what seems to be a rabbit, dark magic is radiating off the thing in waves.
"Hmm what's that Sénior Scratchy? No I know he does look more annoyed than anything else doesn't he? Yeah you'd think he'd be more afraid considering his circumstances but he seems unfazed that he's facing any consequences."
So like my mother with her cats I now assume from the way she speaks to it that the rabbit is her familiar, I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this whole situation and attempt to dress in my armor and summon a dagger to no effect. I start to get the sinking feeling I had of helplessness I haven't felt since I first arrived here and had my magic nearly stripped by Strange. Agatha laughs once again.
"Oh that's adorable! Your magic doesn't work here toots. Didn't you notice my basic protection spell, one on each wall?"
I look around in confusion but quickly spot what she's referring to there are runes of some sort marking the walls of the room but I don't recognize what they mean. It's likely Eldritch magic an area of study I hadn't taken up on Asgard deeming it inferior to Asgardian magic and I haven't been permitted to take up the study of it here on Midgard. Strange bard me from it. She waits smirking at my stupidity.
"...No nothing? Hm guess Strange never trusted you enough to even let you access the fundamentals of Midgard's flavor of sorcery. These are simple runes, in a given space, only the witch that cast the runes can use her magic."
I'm sure for someone like Strange there's a simple way around the runes but I sure as Hel haven't been privy to that knowledge. I quickly glance around the room looking for any possible escape options. She sees this and quickly binds me with a spell preventing me from moving.
"Tsk tsk your highness don't get any ideas it's rude of you to dream of taking off so soon."
I'm now not only scared but embarrassed and scared which in turn makes me angry. I quickly suppress my fear realizing I've faced far worse than Agatha Harkness. I yell in indigence.
"Now hold on a moment, just who do you think you are?!"
"Who do you think YOU are? You tampered with a force beyond either of our understanding and Mephisto has chosen me to see to it that you are humiliated just as much as he was by you."
I laugh again to hide any amount of weakness my anxiety is threatening to share through my expression.
"Who am I? You're joking, I am Loki, god of Mischief, Prince of Asgard, Adopted son of Odin and Frigga, Brother of Thor, Avenger, and rightful heir of the Jotunheim. And you Miss Harkness are nobody."
She doesn't get angry or frustrated or give me any sort of reaction I wanted instead looking almost bored by me.
"Wow, so do they have that all written out on your drivers license or..."
'Ugh I can't stand her swarm and sarcasm, is this why Thor thinks I'm so annoying sometimes?' She goes on.
"I was so patient waiting for just the right opportunity to snatch you up and mask you from Heimdall's sight, now with Strange and Wong busy I was finally able to, they keep a close eye on you you know, but now I can finally serve you some justice. Now let's see..."
I can feel her magic trying to prod at my mind, I just stare her down. She grows slightly frustrated.
"Hmm you're a tough nut to crack..."
She tries again this time more aggressively. It's painful but when she stops to readjust I just lift my brow at her. I smile slightly recalling one of Rodgers' favorite lines 'I can do this all day'.
"Okay, you won't let me in? Guess we're doing this the hard way then."
