I'm sitting on the bed waiting for Loki to get done with his calls so I can shower it's an odd time for one but something about it is calming to me even if another person has to help me. With Loki I've found I feel at ease about it. It should be awkward but he somehow makes it a soothing experience.

I've had a nerve racking day and I just want to clear my head. I'm vividly aware that this sounds pathetic as all I've done today is relax at home and relax at a friend's house but the latter was a bit scary though it shouldn't have been I was never in any danger. After a bit Loki comes back into the room looking joyful.

"Everything go ok?"

He smiles a worry free, content, and happy smile, that's hard to come by from him. It makes him look younger, more innocent even.

"Yes darling they all said yes."

I smile with excitement.

"That's great! I knew they would! Who'd you ask?"

"Peter, naturally, Heimdall, Bruce, Steve, Bucky, and Vision."

I smile in pride knowing how difficult making those calls must have been for him. It's not often he reaches out to people.

"I'm proud of you, for reaching out to people I mean. I know you avoid that at nearly all costs."

He just smiles and shrugs as he sits down next to me wanting to dismiss the topic because it makes him feel nervous. I allow it he's been making so much progress lately I don't want to overwhelm him by lingering on the subject for too long. I change the topic.

"Anyway, I could really use a shower I know it's weird we haven't even had dinner yet but-"

"You're anxious from today."

I smile he knows me so well.

"Yeah."

He smiles kindly and gestures to the restroom.

"Go collect what you need love I'll be waiting in there."

I nod and he kisses the top of my head then heads into the restroom. I collect clothes to change into and enter shortly after.

Loki helps me by combining out my wet tangled mess of hair a task that he'd started insisting on doing because his keen eye spotted me failing to hide my struggling with it. He took the comb from my hand and claimed it to be too strenuous for my sore wrists. He wasn't wrong it hurt a lot, I just didn't say anything because I didn't want to bother him with it. He's already doing so much.

As he works the comb gently through the knots in my hair we sit on the couch enjoying some episodes of The Office. I giggle at a prank Jim is pulling on Dwight. Loki chuckles in amusement too.

"That's clever."

"He reminds me of you, sure is less of a drama queen though."

"I'd have to agree he's certainly got the pranks of a Jim Halpert."

Mary, who's as usual holding Vili, says as she plops herself down on the couch that's kitty corner from us. She's right he often torments Thor in a similar fashion as Jim does Dwight by pulling pranks to drive him crazy though I think it's done out of some funny sense of love that only siblings can understand.

Mary continues to stroke Vili's scales as she watches the tv screen. Mary's grown pretty attached to our pet and Vili seems to equally enjoy my sister's attention. She stays silent but I know what's up Mary coming out of her room at this hour usually means she's hungry for supper and looking to see what the plan is.

"You hungry?"

"Yeah."

"So am I."

I have a craving for food from Drekka's but I'm not ready to go out to eat and don't want to cause any hassle to try and get the food here. We both look at Loki expectantly. He looks slightly annoyed.

"What?"

Mary blinks at him innocently.

"I'd really love some chicken nuggets."

He sighs his soft spot for Mary rendering him unable to stay irritated about having to deal with supper.

"Very well miting I'll have Thor pick some up. What about you mortal?"

"I'll get that too."

He nods and turns his head back to Mary.

"Fries?"

She giggles a little.

"You're learning!"

He rolls his eyes but smiles fondly.

"Then I shall place our order."

He grabs his phone and types out a message then returns his attention to my hair beginning to braid the now combed out locks so my hair will be curly when I remove it. Mary still badgers him.

"Well how long?"

"He hasn't answered yet."

Mary pouts she's known to get moody when she's hungry. I smile slightly.

"I'm sure he won't be long sis."

She nods returning her attention to the television. We all enjoy The Office while we wait for Thor to respond and show up with our food.
