—-Sam—-
It's been a few weeks since the Mojo incident, tonight is the night of the movie premiere. I'm trying to figure out what I should wear. Tom said in his letter we'd be on the carpet with him since we're technically celebrities. I mean... I just don't think about it that much but I guess we are both Avengers and royalty. Though I'm getting extremely nervous I'm also incredibly excited.
I can tell Lo' is also pretty anxious about the whole thing he hates being in the news and reporters will likely be trying to interview us. Hopefully Tom or maybe even Peter and Mary Jane can be a buffer for us. I look through my closet at all of the overly fancy dresses Loki's insisted on buying me since our wedding. Even with all these beautiful dresses to choose from I'm still worried about which one I should wear I don't want to look like an idiot. Fuck it I'll ask the fashion expert.
"Hey Lo'?!"
He responds from the next room over.
"Yes?"
"Come tell me what dress will make me look the least incompetent in front of all those celebrities!"
"If I'm not mistaken you're probably going to be the most influential woman there and they'll all be following after your fashion sense."
I sigh in exasperation. How is his flattery so aggravating at times?
"Just get your ass in here and give me your opinion!"
He comes in then and smiles knowing exactly how much he's just simultaneously irritated and flattered me. He glances over the dresses for a second.
"I'd go with the one with the cool gray to the dark blue nearly black gradient."
I look over the dress he's referring to it's very Asgardian in design and will probably stand out from the modern dresses the other women on the carpet will be wearing drawing unwanted attention to myself, then again I am the princess of said country so maybe it wouldn't raise that much of a fuss.
It is really pretty... I take it from the rack then tease him."Well... only if you'd actually wear it."
He tilts his head to the side in consideration.
"Don't tempt me I just might."
I can tell he's dead serious.
"Don't, if you bring out Lady Loki you'll steal all my thunder."
I'm partially joking, I'm not actually worried about him stealing the spotlight I'm anxious that him taking that form at an event like this would draw a ridiculous amount of attention to both of us. He pouts but I can tell he has the same realization. I don't have any problems with him taking that form I'm just not sexually attracted to that form being a straight woman.
Yeah it can be kinda bizarre sometimes, but I still love Lady Loki to death just not for that. He doesn't take that form very often anyway so when he's in the mood for it I just accept her and move on with the day. I've grown to accept that being married to Loki means I'll have to get comfortable with things being a little bizarre because I couldn't be happier in a relationship than I am with him.
"You're no fun."
"I am fun! Now you're gonna have to help me get the back closed on this thing."
"Very well."
With his help I change into the dress then move into the restroom to do my hair and makeup. I open the bathroom door now all dolled up. I go for the dramatic reveal.
"Tada!"
He looks me over looking completely enamored as usual before swiftly finding his voice again.
"Lovely, though you're missing one thing."
I feel the tiara he gave me on our wedding day appear on my head. I blush because of how much attention it might draw to me and at the fact that he insists I'm worthy of wearing one.
"Lo' I don't know if-"
He stops me before I can even finish my sentence already knowing what my objection will be.
"Hush you have nothing to be anxious about darling, you're a princess nobody's going to give it a second glance."
I nod giving into him because I find the way he's acting right now extremely adorable. I can put up with a little extra attention if it means appeasing my insanely sweet husband.
"What about you what are you wearing?"
"Well since you've been so very boring I'm going to be wearing my favorite black suit."
I smile and flirt slightly with him.
"Ooh your queen likes that one."
He smiles that insanely charming smile I so adore as he changes into said outfit.
"Does she now?"
'Alright buddy that's it!' 'You've brought this on yourself by being so attractive!' I beckon him a bit closer and he leans down I speak very softly. He's not the only one of us who knows how to be mischievous.
"Yes but she likes you best wearing nothing at all."
He turns red and I kiss his lips that have formed into an o from his surprise at my statement in triumph. I pull away and step back a few steps then pick my sling ring up off the table to indicate that we're leaving now, knowing I've been just a little bit of a tease.
"Come on Lo' we gotta be there soon."
He looks at me desperately obviously wanting more than what I gave him.
"Wait Sam, we have time..."
I giggle we certainly do not.
"Later, my king, later."
He pouts at me before picking up his own sling ring from the table.
"And you call me trouble."
I just smile at him innocently before we preform the spell and step into the designated meeting place Tom told us to go luckily it's somewhere we're familiar with so we didn't have to deal with getting a car. My stomach does a flip in excitement and anticipation as I take in the busy room. I smile seeing Tom make his way over, yup this once in a lifetime experience (at least normally now that I'm royalty who knows) is nearly panic inducing but I can tell it's going to be totally worth it.
