After Peter arrives and I explain what's happening I sneak my way into the guest house where Logan and Laura are staying. If I'm seen out and about without Sam that would raise suspicion especially when our cover story excusing our absence is me being at home comforting her anxiety. I've even carefully guarded my mind so I'm undetected by Xavier.

I quietly tap on the door of the room Logan is staying in. Though this is an urgent matter I'm not exactly comfortable just barging in on his space we're on good terms and I'd like to keep it that way. He answers the door and looks rather confused by my presence here especially without Sam.

"What the hell?"

I keep my voice down I can't risk drawing attention to myself.

"We need to talk can you get Laura?"

He gives me an odd look.

"It's about Sam's safety, I have coordinates on Weapons Plus I'll explain everything when Laura's here."

He nods slightly knowing Sam's safety is of upmost importance to me and realizing why I've come to him specifically for help. He lets me in and begins to leave to find Laura.

"Tell no one I'm here."

Once again he nods then leaves shutting the door behind him. I don't have to wait long before he returns.

"Weapons Plus has relocated their operations to Germany I'm going there to eliminate them as a threat... permanently. Though I don't know everything I have some knowledge of what they did to you I figured I should give you both the chance to seek vengeance."

Laura's the first to speak.

"I don't know... what they do to people... they're as horrible as the Nazis but I don't kill... not anymore."

"Laura if you do not wish to come along that is alright I only asked because I felt you deserved the opportunity for vengeance if you wanted it."

"I do... I just don't want to be what they made me."

Logan looks almost proud by her words before speaking.

"You could come along and help get anyone we find captured there to safety. Those motherfuckers likely haven't stopped using people as weapons since the last time we tangoed."

She nods.

"Let's hope we don't have to fight any of them."

I hope the same.

"So you're interested Logan?"

He chuckles slightly.

"Bub I've been itching for the chance. 'specially after they attacked Sam. ...just don't tell Chuck."

'Chuck'? ...oh Charles! I certainly won't say anything but if he looks in my mind when I'm not guarding it it's out of my control.

"Is that even an option?"

Laura nods.

"Yeah just don't think about it too much when he's around I can give you some pointers the man himself taught us for keeping him out of here."

She points to her head as she says here. I've been masking my presence from him since I arrived here but I suppose it would be useful to have a less drastic solution to the problem than keeping my mind fully hidden.

"That'd be appreciated."

I turn to Logan.

"Now there's a matter of transportation..."

——————————————————

As we travel in the Blackbird I explain that I cannot be seen by any of the people we rescue and no evidence can be left behind of our massacre (other than those rescued of course). I've brought my mother's short sword today. The blade is different from the blades of my daggers and will make it harder to pin any suspicion onto me.

That's assuming evidence survives the inferno I intend to turn Weapons Plus' base of operations into when we're through here. 'You around fire?' 'Sam wouldn't like that.' I smile slightly to myself at the random thought. My thoughts then drift to last night... she was wonderful.

I'm usually quite a bit more dominating when I'm with women, but because of what Sam's been through I pulled back quite a bit so she didn't feel she was being overpowered by me. I can't say I didn't enjoy letting her have control. It was surprisingly nice not to be responsible for what we decided to do next, to not be under the pressure of choosing, instead just going with whatever she decided.

I also made an effort to be extremely gentle because of how much stronger I am than she is but quickly realized because of how her body responded to mine that I didn't need to be as careful as I first thought. All in all it was a truly unique experience different from any of my other experiences with intimacy.

Logan glances in my direction and I'm suddenly pulled out of my explicit thoughts. 'Oaf he can smell you!' Of course with what I've been thinking about... my scent would change along with the testosterone my body produced. I feel my cheeks burn and the reaction is just as involuntary.

He gives a knowing look and slightly chuckles before going back to his business of checking over the navigation systems of the plane. I in turn try desperately to think about anything other than last night still feeling incredibly, morbidly, embarrassed at having been caught daydreaming about Logan's daughter right in front of him.

Less than two hours after taking off we arrive landing in a meadow of sorts. Before we even step out I change my appearance to that of Evan Chrisman once again. Not that I won't let any of these swivers know who's actually responsible for their demise before ending them but I don't want to risk anyone that could possibly get away seeing me. As we step out of the jet Logan sniffs the air.

"There here alright... I'm smelling far too many people for a national park."

Laura nods after sniffing the air herself.

"No way there's that many campers carrying firearms."

Apparently she can smell a copious amount of gunpowder even inside bullet cartridges which is impressive as the cartridges are in all likelihood encased by metal and I assume the nearest guard for weapons plus would have to be at least a few miles away from here.

"Seeing as you've already caught their scent I'll let you two lead the way."

Nodding ever so slightly Logan smells the air again and begins to walk into the forest with purpose. We follow and I'm impressed by their stealth not a twig snaps beneath our feet as we walk across the forest floor I see we take animals by surprise by our silent approach as we get deeper into the woods. Let's hope Weapons Plus is just as surprised upon our arrival.
