—-Thor—-
Heimdall and I immediately make our way to Sam, I had been with him when she called out to him. He said she sounded panicked and that he could not see Loki. Worry quickly sets in, Loki has a knack for making enemies so his sudden disappearance from Heimdall's sight doesn't bode well. In fact I'm in a bit of a panic myself by the time we reach Sam. Before we approach her Heimdall whispers both to me and to himself.
"There's been dark magic here."
I take a breath to steady myself as worry courses through me I vowed to protect him so if anything's happened to him... I steel myself from showing an outward expression of the fear this situation has ignited in me. I can't allow my people to see me in distress if I panic it will only cause them fear, furthermore I need to keep calm in order to help Sam steady herself.
She can't very well tell us what happened if her voice is lost to her. I know her well enough to know that's one of the first things that happens when she's suffering her anxiety attacks, it's quite the affliction and is ingrained in her from years of unspeakable abuse. She's sitting down on the ground now and I can tell though she's trembling she truly is trying her best to hold herself together.
I walk to sit down with her making sure she notices my approach with purposely heavy footsteps as not to startle her. The last thing I want is to cause her any more fear on top of what she's already bearing. She glances up at me hearing my approach, her cheeks are stained with tears and it pains me to see. She looks back down noticing the not so well hidden worry in my expression. I sit down next to her gently placing a hand on her shoulder.
"...Sister, what happened?"
She stops looking towards the ground and glances at me again this time with a look that's somehow scared, frustrated, and relieved all at once. She still trembles but a look of determination crosses her face and she forces herself to speak to me.
"...He-he's gone, th-through a portal, it wasn't his."
She begins to shed more tears. I put my arm around her I can't stand seeing my little sister so upset, I glance up over at Heimdall at this information, Loki could quite literally be anywhere and if Heimdall can't see him I don't know how we're going to find him. Heimdall shakes his head to tell me what he already knows I'm asking, he still can't see him. I don't really want Sam to pick up on this quite yet as it will only cause her further panic. I pull Sam's shaking form closer to myself.
"We will find him Sam."
Sam's trembling seems to calm a bit at my embrace she hugs me back for a moment then wipes her face of tears, I gently help her to stand. She nods slightly her anxiety now also accompanied by a look of determination and possibly even anger towards whoever's done this. I briefly smile at this I'm convinced my brother managed to choose the strongest mortal available. I look towards Heimdall.
"Heimdall gather Valkyrie, Lady Sif, and the Einherjar, tell them to wait for me and Sam in my home, gather everyone else in the town square I will tell them what's happened and see if anyone else may know anything about this. As for the festivities, Midsommar is over until my brother returns to us safely."
————————————————
No one else even saw what happened which isn't surprising considering how secluded the area Sam and Loki were in was. I step down from the podium and look to Sam to find that she is doing a lot better than she had been before. She's regained quite a bit of composure and is no longer trembling at all. She moves to walk beside me as we travel to my home. She speaks and her voice doesn't even waver, a result of her conviction.
"I contacted Fury about this his people are on it, I also tried to get a hold of Strange but he didn't answer, his voicemail said something about him and Wong being off world for the next 48 hours, ...I figure Heimdall can't see Loki but you didn't wanna freak me out before, so we should still contact the sanctum someone there should still be able to help us."
I nod slightly
"Yes I'm sorry if that seemed deceptive but I thought it wouldn't help you at all to dump that on you as well."
She nods.
"It's okay I understand why. I'm not mad about it... I just want to focus on finding him."
I nod once again
"We'll go to the sanctum as soon as we're done explaining things to Sif, Valkyrie, and the Einherjar."
"Okay."
We finish our walk in silence neither of us are in the mood for small talk or lightheartedness.
