—-Loki—-

I move Sam over to the couch for now though we're probably going to need to bring her in to S.H.I.E.L.D to get the bracers removed soon. I tuck a throw pillow beneath her head and take the afghan resting over the back of the couch to cover her with as I do this I glance at her arm again and start inspecting the bracer. I take a partiality stained red wet cloth I assume Peter had priorly used to clean up her wounds and carefully wipe away some of the blood coating it doing my best not to disturb her.

I can make out the words broken, hidden, and lost written in runes... Asgardian runes, pieces of a spell. I seethe in anger immediately concluding who's responsible, at least for the bracers. 'Amora, that fucking mewling quim!' I'm going to pay her a visit when Sam's alright again.

I hold my anger aside long enough to shut the door behind me quietly without slamming it. I don't want to wake her. If Sam fell asleep after being as scared as she was she needs it. The group catches my new spark of anger and looks at me wondering what triggered it.

"Amora made those bracers."

Thor looks shocked.

"Are you certain? She's still in the Raft there's no way-"

I cut him off my anger rising. 'Of course I'm sure!' 'I've been the leading authority on Asgardian magic since the evacuation from Old Asgard!'

"Well apparently, Thor, there was a way! Because I'm damn well certain!"

He puts his hands up in defeat and speaks calmly.

"Alright I believe you, fighting won't help us figure this out brother."

Damn it. I realize I'm looking for someone to take my anger out on and it wouldn't be fair to take it out on Thor. He's only trying to help the situation. Over the years he's ended up being my punching bag many times over, I've been trying to do things differently. I sigh.

"I'm sorry, brother I do not wish to fight with you either."

He smiles a little at this. I'm not one to apologize so readily to him.

"It's alright you have every right to be angry."

I smile slightly despite being livid about what Amora's done. 'Sweet forgiving idiot brother.'

"Yes but not at you."

Peter speaks up though I feel he's unsure of how to ask his question.

"So is she ok now?"

"No but she did recognize me so at least there's that."

Strange sits up from his astral projecting and we all look to him for the verdict. Logan asks first.

"Are we taking her to S.H.I.E.L.D?"

"Well... I think I can figure out a way to get the bracers off with Loki's help it goes without saying he's far more knowledgeable about Asgardian magic. The only thing is if the cuts in her forearms are deeper than expected it would be safer if we were already in a hospital. So as much as I hate it knowing her history of anxiety over hospitals I see no other logical course of action. I can't risk her bleeding out not to mention the pain that could be involved in removing them."

He looks at me I think he's expecting me to argue instead I nod. Though I dread her waking up to find she's in a hospital there they can give her pain medication and anesthesia. After looking over the bracers myself I don't feel it will be possible to remove the bracers without causing immense pain. It's for the best that we take her.

Strange and I enter the room he puts a sleeping spell over her so she doesn't wake up during the transfer. I carry her back into the living room and Strange opens a portal right into the emergency room of S.H.I.E.L.D's medical center everyone makes their way through it. The staff immediately comes over to help, our somewhat unusual entrance being enough to draw their attention.

When they have her situated in a room Strange explains the situation to the doctor. He sounds very knowledgeable on the subject the terms he uses go over my head but it sparks my curiosity and I make a mental note to read up on human biology and medicine. Sam is put under anesthesia as pain would break Strange's sleeping spell. We both work together to figure out how to remove the bracers. While everyone else sits in the waiting area.

Two hours later we finally get them off the doctors take over from there to stop the bleeding and patch her up. While nobody's paying attention I vanish the bracers into my pocket dimension smirking slightly. It would be rude of me not to return them to Amora. She'd look oh so elegant in them.

A mere seconds later we're asked to leave the room. I begin to get angry but Strange explains to me the reasoning behind it and I comply. A short while later after waiting a bit Strange turns to me.

"I'm sorry but I'm needed at the sanctum, let me know what happens."

His concern is appreciated but odd to hear from him everything he's done in the past few hours has been a bit well, strange. I nod and he opens a portal to leave. I'm now left waiting for the doctors to tell me I can go in. I find myself pacing back and forth despite the best efforts of Thor, Peter, and Mary to calm me down. As soon as I'm able to I'm going in there. I DO NOT want her to wake up alone. In fact if they take very much longer I will go in anyway. I'd like to see them try to stop me.
