—-Loki—-

Though Jane's wielding of Mjölnir provided quite the distraction from my anger and fear over what just happened it's short lived. My attention shifts again to the dire situation at hand. A great portion of Asgard's future has just been stolen. We all move back into the town hall building to discuss things further.

We're not alone, the building is quickly filling up with dozens of confused and concerned Asgardians many of whom are distraught parents whose children were just stolen. They are talking nervously amongst themselves when they see we've entered one voice calls out from the rest.

"You know what I think we should do we should start an army!"

Another scared and angry voice cries out.

"With what? Half our soldiers are dead."

And another.

"Half our soldiers are always dead!"

And another.

"Where are our children!"

More scared and angry comments are made and Thor tries to calm the crowd of frightened parents before it becomes an angry mob.

"Everyone please return to your homes I promise we'll have news soon."

The crowd ignores him continuing to loudly voice their concerns and demand action. One partially loud comment cries out.

"Someone needs to tell us what happened!"

Thor tries yet again to calm the crowd.

"We'll find them."

His reassurance falls on deaf ears as they continue speaking out of fear and anger. A fight starts to break out and I can't stand by and let it happen, I cast an illusion of green sparks and fire reigning in their attention from fighting amongst themselves. When they all look over at me I speak.

"Asgard! ...I understand the situation is dire but when your king speaks you'd do well to listen!"

The crowd immediately becomes silent at my words some looking ashamedly to the floor at their behavior. I nod to Thor letting him have the floor from here to speak he throws me a thankful look before speaking.

"My friends we must not quarrel, times like these we must unite and come together, I see what's happening here, you're afraid, scared, anxious? If we are to find the children we must first find the strength within ourselves to overcome our fear and unite together in order to remain strong for them.
I understand you want to help and returning to your homes feels like you're abandoning the issue but I assure you that doing so and allowing us to deal with the issue at hand is the best way you can possibly help us find them.
So please return home, prepare their favorite foods, wash their favorite clothes, and prepare for their return because we are bringing them home.
We just need time to work and we ask you to remain calm and safe while we do so. Now go and take heart in knowing everything that can be done to return them home safely is being done."

The crowd is much calmer now the anxious murmurs have turned to apologies, sympathies, and encouragements it begins to disperse the people following their king's direction. We wait there until it's completely diminished Thor looks to me as the last of them make their way out and smiles slightly.

"Thank you it seems I couldn't catch their attention."

I nod slightly smiling as well. Thor quickly gets down to business from here turning to Heimdall hopefully.

"Heimdall? The children, can you see them?"

Heimdall nods looking unusually shaken by the situation. Thor notices Heimdall's unusual departure from his stoic demeanor.

"Heimdall?"

"...my son, my son is with them."

Sam makes a face of surprise having not known Heimdall to be a father.

"Is he okay?"

He nods.

"They're all unharmed but... I don't know where they are I can't get a grasp on it."

Thor shakes his head looking unsettled by the whole situation. Heimdall goes on.

"Wherever they are... it's dark, shadowy, as shadowy as the demons that aided Gorr's attack...we're going to need help."

Jane looks just as confused as Sam is by his statement whereas I and Thor have some idea of whom he's speaking.

"Help from who?"

Thor looks at me knowing I know precisely what he's thinking, I do and I don't agree with the idea. Entering Omnipotent City  uninvited is frowned upon to put it quite lightly. Besides this I doubt the other pantheons will consider our plight.

They've felt no reason to leave their golden cites for any other disasters throughout the recent centuries. Not that Asgard's had a much better track record since our days of conquest we had also become apathetic to the trials other realms faced. Thor answers Jane.

"The other gods."
