It's now been another two days I think I have an ah ha moment in this time and I bring a photograph of Loki to the sanctum remembering the spell Loki used to find Tom Hiddleston. I'm quickly disappointed. The problem is Wong and Strange aren't familiar with the spell.

Loki never taught them this bit of Asgardian magic because of their lack of trust and free exchange of information between each other. I can tell now that Strange is actually starting to feel guilty about his lack of teaching Loki Midgardian sorcery and vice versa. They suspect it wouldn't work if Loki's presence is being masked with magic but we can't be sure it wouldn't have worked since we can't even attempt it.

"I'm really sorry, we will keep trying but we've nearly exhausted our options. Hopefully someone else can dig something up."

After we lie to Strange and to ourselves that we're sure we'll find him some other way. We go home defeated.

It's after a week and three days when Sam and I reach our breaking point. I startle awake noticing Sam is in the midst of yet another nightmare. I wish her father hadn't taken off to the Canadian wilderness without any means of reaching him I feel like he'd be immensely helpful to Sam during this time. I think I've managed to appear strong but I'm really starting to have a hard time coping with this.

Somewhere out there my brother's suffering Norns know what, I wish there was someone here that was less emotionally involved in the situation to help Sam right now because when she breaks down something inside of me threatens to do the same. So far though I've been able to hold it together.

When I wake her up only for her to cling to me then break down sobbing from whatever she's seen in her dream something in me just snaps. I'm willing to literally beg at Helblindi's feet at this point if it means my brother is able to be brought home safely. I make up my mind that we're going to have to visit Jotunheim. Firstly I work to soothe my little sister holding her close.

"Sam, I promise you whatever you saw wasn't real, we're going to get him back. Alright? We're going to go to Jotunheim and we're going to convince them to help us."

She nods slightly and tries to collect herself.

I'm still shaking from my nightmare I'm so relieved we're finally going to actually do something though. I feel more tears fall uncontrollably the images from my nightmares still flashing through my mind. Loki being tortured, Loki crying, and Loki being killed before my eyes are among the visions flashing through my mind.

It seems to my dreams nothing is off limits. I can't help but let out a sob as I think of an image from my terrible dreams of him with his mouth sewn shut. All of these twisted scinarios of my own mind's creation are truly horrible. Thor continues to be the best big brother ever as he soothes me.

I can see he's patiently waiting for me to collect myself he's so sweet no wonder his little brother loves him so much! I notice I must've accidentally woken up Mary with my sobs when I feel her hug me from behind. Thankfully it seems I at least haven't disturbed Peter's sleep due to him being in one of the guest rooms.

The moment I'm sure Sam has steadied herself I leave her with Mary while I call for a meeting with Heimdall, Sif, Valkyrie, and the Einherjar. I also call Bruce and Strange in order to discuss the other aspects of our proposed deal with Jotunheim. Bruce to ensure the technology we're offering won't be too dangerous in their hands.

Strange in order to get a sense of just what we need from the Jotuns as well as to request another means of transport off of Jotunheim other than Stormbreaker in the event that we are met with hostility. Unfortunately this means I'll have to out my brother as a Frost Giant to Bruce but it was either him or Pepper and Loki is far closer with Bruce at this point.

I have a committee putting together a flag indicating our arrival is a peaceful endeavor whilst we have our meeting. It uses the traditional runes for such a situation and will hopefully help us not be seen as hostile or threatening. As for who's actually going to Jotunheim, I've decided myself, Lady Sif, Valkyrie, a group of ten of our very best Einherjar warriors, Strange (if agreeable), and Sam.

I know I can't be the one to do most of the speaking because of my behavior last time I set foot on Jotunheim. I mauled over the decision for quite some time before coming to the conclusion that Sam is the best of us when it comes to communicating effectively and persuasively.

I mean, for Valhalla's sake she regularly convinces my stubborn brother who spent centuries doing things his own way to do things far outside his comfort zone. I have no wish to put Sam in harms way but if anyone can convince them to take pity on us it's her. I can't see them listening to anyone else.

Though it's 3:00 in the morning it's not long before Sam and I are fully dressed and ready to plan out our proposed trip to Jotunheim. We leave Mary to get more sleep with instructions to fill Peter in on the situation in the morning. For Sam and I though we feel a sudden sense of urgency and won't waste another moment.
