A Tale of Mischief and Mutants part 2

Danger Room

The next day I feel like I should start deciding who my maid of honor and bridesmaids are going to be. It's just I haven't just hung out with the X-men for no reason for so long I'm not even sure who to choose. The maid of honor is easy I guess, Mary is definitely the one for the job but the rest... I'm just not sure. I think I need to pop in to hang out like old times.

I go to find Loki needing his assistance with getting to New York I feel like it could also be fun to have him along. He's in his usual spot curled up with Vili and a book both are taking up prime real-estate on his lap. He shows no indication that he's heard my approach. I smirk. I think I've managed to actually sneak up on him.

"You know Vili you're in my seat."

Loki looks up from his book in slight surprise and smiles. He moves Vili and his book off to the side. The smile turns somewhat mischievous.

"Hello darling, I didn't realize you had laid claim to the space."

I smile feeling my cheeks burn.

"I have and don't you forget it."

He laughs softly still keeping that amazing smile of his.

"Then by all means my dear."

He gestures for me to sit down. I do and I'm probably blushing a few shades redder. He pulls me close as I sit in his lap I melt into his gentle touch, men used to force me to do this sort of thing but I have no negative feelings about being in this position now, not with Loki. Hopefully more physical things that I used to hate and fear can become like this.

I know I've made an insane amount of progress on that front but I'm just hoping when our wedding night comes I'll be ready. He begins running a hand through my hair I'm so comfortable that I almost forget why I interrupted his reading in the first place. I pull away slightly just so I can look at him while I talk.

"So Lo' I was thinking we could go to the school today. I just want to visit also I told you I'd show you the Danger Room, would you wanna go?"

He nods.

"I'd love to I've heard a great deal about it and I'm quite curious."

I smile widely at this... this is gonna be fun.

We arrive at the school it's the evening time in Tønsberg meaning it's early afternoon in New York. We enter the school everyone must be busy with classes because nobody's around. I smile there could be a Danger Room session in progress right now. I walk towards the hallway leading to the sub level the Danger Room's in I'll need to verify my identity in order for the door to open.

"Let's see... I hope I'm still in their system."

I enter the familiar sequence in the discreet panel and a bright light scans my eye. There's a familiar few seconds of delay then the entrance opens. I smile.

"Right this way."

"Where exactly are we going?"

"The Danger Room duh."

"You don't want to say hello to your friends first?"

"It's the middle of the school day everyone's busy. They're probably using the Danger Room right now for a class so we'll just surprise them by popping into the control room."

He nods and we make our way to the Danger Room's control room as we walk I point out various rooms of note to him our weapons storage area, uniform locker and other places like that. I stop at the door and put in the sequence. Like before the machine scans my eye and the door opens.
