A Tale of Mischief and Mutants part 2

I once again find myself seeking comfort from Sam. I don't have to bottle it up around her because she sees me as strong despite my emotions taking over at times. I eventually stop shedding tears it feels good to let the feeling of sadness run it's course and fade instead of linger the way it does when I push it down. I sit up feeling better. I smile slightly at Sam and she beams back at me with her smile I so adore.

"Thank you love."

"No problem trouble, whatddya say we go socialize for another half hour, maybe grab a dance, you know generally be present at our own wedding celebration then ditch these losers?"

I'm confused as to why we'd leave what are we going to do if we're at home alone? Mary's spending the night at Thor's because she wanted us to have some privacy. I appreciate it but that leaves us with no reason to go home.

"I guess so... but why?"

She smiles a smile that's somehow mischievous and timid at once.

"Trust me trouble I have big plans."

She winks. It hits me exactly what she's insinuating. I hadn't expected... she isn't doing this just because she feels she has to is she?!

"You're sure? I wasn't expecting anything if you're not ready that's-"

She cuts me off from my explaining she doesn't have to do this if she's not ready just because it's our wedding night.

"I'm sure, I'm nervous but I've never been more sure. ...Now let's go deal with the next half hour then blow this popsicle stand!"

I smile unable to hide my excitement at the prospect.

"As you wish mortal."

The next half hour crawls by slowly at the twenty minute mark I can tell we're both ready to leave. We reach a silent agreement and sneak out the back during a most ironic Midgardian song. Our absence will remain undetected for a good while thanks to one of my illusions. Unlike the song it may take a bit before my friends start looking for me and if they have any sense they'll have some idea of where I'm at.
