Bonus Chapter
Gia shoots up from the couch when the front door opened.
Tyler slowly made his way inside. Bandages shown under the tank he wore—stitched up from the few nights before. The doctors had finally cleared him to go home. His jacket in hand as he closed the door behind him.
"Thank God," A sigh of relief, Gia hugs him. Tyler winced a slight grunt. "I'm sorry!"
"No, no, it's okay." Tyler used and arm to hold her.
Gia looks him over with a head shake. "Are you-"
"I'm gonna be fine." Tyler assures as he pulled back from her. "No one came here. Your okay? You and grandad, you both are alright?"
"Yeah, he's upstairs sleeping." Gia motioned up the steps. "Were both fine."
Tyler noticed the tear stains on her cheeks and puffiness of her eyes.
"Then why does it look like you've been crying half the night?" Tyler asks her. Gia bites back her tears but he gets her to look at him. "What's wrong, Gia? Talk to me..."
"Nicole..."
Tyler brows knot together. "What about Nicole? Did Dom and Brian get her back? Are they home?" He went to leave. Gia grabs his arm from leaving, his gaze snaps back to her and watched the pain build even more. "G?"
".....The Toretto's are gone, the news reported them wanted fugitives. I think they had something to do with getting Nicole's dad out of jail."
Tyler head tilts, drawing back to her. "Your still not telling me where Nicole is."
"They found a truck blown up with Braga's men inside that tried to escape. Apparently from the DNA they found, Nicole Toretto was one identified in that truck..."
Tyler eyes widened.
"Nicole was in the truck w-when it blew up. She had on the same bracelet, t-the one you gave her." Gia cries. "She was inside of it—!"
Tyler hugs her before his cousin could seep to the floor. Grief taking a hold, leaving her nothing to stand on as she cried in his arm for her friend..
Eyes still wide, Tyler ears went deaf to the sound of Gia's crying. He could only hear her words in his head, replaying themselves.
"I want you to take care of her." Nicole says between her tears. "That's how you redeem yourself to me. Take care of her and don't you dare come back to this life again. Just protect her. Can you promise me that?"
She knew...
The minute she walked away from him she knew that she would never see them again. And he knew, that he should have never left her to be alone. To die alone with someone there with. Still holding on to so much grief. He would have stayed with her to the end and not look back.
