Chapter 157
Folding up her chair—Raven puts it in her travel makeup suitcase.
The hairstylist; Dawn walked over to her. Both girls who had a passion for their craft and often worked hand in hand for special events that needed both services.
"Raven you really did amazing, how'd you perfect the corner rhinestone cat eye?"
"Technique." Raven shrugs, an innocent smile as she looks off. "And a lot of bribing my friend Nicole who has a set of the best eye shapes."
"The one who is a mechanic and shudders at the word of shopping?"
"I never said it was easy in my bribes."
Dawn nods. "Ah." Honey blonde hair cut into a bob, the color went well with her hazel eyes and made her brown skin tone pop.
"At least she makes a good practice face.""Yeah, the war to get her to do it is satisfying....when I win that is."
Dawn chuckles. "She sounds like a riot. All your friends do, you describe them and I instantly think you guys need your own movies or shows."
"After the life we had, I do not disagree with that."
Dawn's phone lights up. "Welp, boyfriend is here."
"You need me to walk you out?"
"No." Dawn stops her immediately to Raven's brow raised. "I mean, you don't have to." She tries to ease up. "I'll be fine. Catch you for the next event?"
"Um, yeah." Raven nods.
"Bye." Dawn sends her a wave.
Raven waved but did give a curious glance over her shoulder to the girl as she left. She was used to people being private but Dawn looked as if she did it out of fear and not privacy.
Xander walked in. "Who's the asshole driving that white Jeep I almost kicked it, staring at me like that."
Raven sighs. "Then again fear might be warranted if you have a boyfriend who threatens the universe."
"What do I threaten?" Xander stops.
"Nothing at all." Raven smiles.
"I hope you were saying good things about me."
"I said things about you, yes."
