Chapter 153

Jewel looks at Leonardo with an amused smile.

"I don't believe I stuttered when I said that you did in fact push me away."

"Don't start with me." Leonardo points.

"Can you enlighten me on why I shouldn't?" Her head tilts. "Not that I'm going to stop doing it, but I am curious as to how you explain why I should."

"For a woman that doesn't know what she wants this is hilarious."

"Hey, sometimes I'm on your side of the fence and other days I climb over to the other." A simple shrug from her. "What's the harm? I don't remember me ever being tied down to any woman or a man. Neither do I see a ring on my finger."

"As if you would take it."

"Is it pretty?"

A glare from him just made her bite on her laugh.

"Jewel, I am not in the mood."

"Too bad." Jewel sighs. "Now, put these men out and tell them to stop pointing a gun at my boss so we can talk."

"We have nothing to talk about."

"Oh we do, and if you want your answers from me about that night. I suggest you do what I ask." Those words alone got Leonardo to look back at her. "You get your answers and I want mine. Or we sit here in silence and you continue to think every single night about what went wrong. Your choice."

Nolan looked between the two as he stood next to Sin. "There's no way he's going to-"

"All of you. Out." Leonardo says without breaking eye contact with Jewel.

One of his men double takes. "Sir, you don't have a gun on you-"

A cut of his eye. "I said get out."

The guy throws up his hands and motions for the others to leave along with him. Jewel cuts her eye to them leaving and smiles as those hazel green eyes found Leonardo again.

"Not so fast. They go to." Leonardo points to Sin and Nolan off to the side. "You said just me and you, so they need to leave."

Nolan glares. "That silver dye seeped into his brain. I'm not leaving her with you."

"I'll be fine." Jewel waves off as she walks up to Leonardo—pressing her chest against his, making him look down. "I'm sure I am protected. Right?"
