Chapter 141

Nicole used the rag to wipe off the bench in front of the Toretto shop.

Leon came up to take a good look at it. "Nothing hurts more than seeing those two dates."

The dates of Vince and Jesse on the newly put in bench. Eva kept her promise and made sure it was done to perfection. It was sad to put in a new tombstone and she had spent most of that day crying. Jesse left so quick during a hectic time, the family didn't have much time mourn him or even give him a proper burial. So this time they did. While it did hurt a lot, Nicole felt a sort of weight gone from knowing and hoping he was at peace. She hoped both her uncles found it.

"I really miss the time I was just a kid roaming around you guys."

Leon smirks. "Now you got your own mini you roaming around." This made Nicole smile a bit to herself, that gaze lowering to the bench. "You know they'd be proud, right?" Nicole looks over to him. "I can say that, because I'm one of the proud uncles who knew both those fools well."

"You have to go back soon?"

"Yeah, got the family home. Told Mia I have to bring them down next month when we visit. Give you a chance to meet your cousins."

"I'd love that." Nicole giggles. "Can I finally tell your wife the old pick up lines you used? Or how I was the wing child."

Leon points. "Now, wait a minute..."

"Now that I am old enough to know what an exotic dancer is," Nicole gives him a look. "I'd just like to say. My mom should have hit you harder for that."

"I do not disagree."

A laugh between the two as he pulled her in a hug.

Nicole held onto him and had to fight the tears that wanted to fall. Leon and her uncles were a big part of her life that she always wanted to remember and keep close to her heart.

"Uncle, Leon!"

Hearing the little voice made both of them pull away.

Wearing his red t-shirt, and khaki pants--curls bouncing with him as he ran over.

"Hey!" Leon picks him up in a hug. "Little B," the smile on the little face made him chuckle. "Just the splitting image of your momma, you know that?"

"Attitude to, that's what papa Dom says."

Leon laughs.
