Chapter Eighty Seven
Xander threw his bag in the trunk.
A look to his phone as he saw one unknown number had called him a few times. Attempting to dial it back it went immediately to voicemail.
Irvin came out the house. "Alright. I got these for you to go back."
"Thanks." Xander takes the papers as he drops the phone from his ear. "I never seen this number."
"Did it just call?"
"No." Xander shakes his head slow. "It was a while ago."
A message came through.
Unknown- Hey it's Cami! I lost my cell back in Mexico and had to get a new one. I just wanted to let you know it's me since you are allergic to unknown #'s, I can't talk on the phone right now, I'm boarding the plane. I didn't find anything in Mexico so I'm heading back to L.A. I'm sorry Xander.
Letting out a sigh he texts her back.
Xander- It's okay Cami. Text me when you get back home, I'll stop by on my way back
No other text came through.
"Everything good?"
"Yeah, it was just my friend." Xander slides his phone in his pocket. "She didn't find anything and neither did Elena."
"I'm sorry, Xander." Irvin leans on the car. "I tried searching even the cold stuff for you. Whoever did take the child, if they still have him, they don't want to be found."
"I'm not even sure if the child is still here." Xander hated to admit it. "My mother lives for a mind game, the witch feeds off of it. She taught me them so I know how she works, it's where I get them."
Irvin gives him a look. "You're nothing like your mother, Xander."
"I can be." Xander sadly admits. "When I was with Owen, I actually was her. Until Nicole showed up, then things changed. I really wanted to find him for her, to bring her back something."
