Chapter Fifteen- Race Night Part 2
The next day; Nicole made her way over to a clients of Harry's. It was on her route home, so he told her to just drop them in the guy Park's mailbox at his apartment building.
Wearing a pair of dark blue distressed/ripped skinny jeans with a spaghetti strap white shirt, a pair of black sandals, and a light ripped matching jean jacket. Some of her hair she had pulled in a ponytail while the rest she wore out along with some stray bangs.
Walking the streets with her bag on her shoulder, she held her phone to her ear as she talked with Gia.
"I don't want to hear this Gia." Nicole groans.
"I'm just saying, maybe you should just give your dad a chance." Gia says on the other end. "He is trying."
Nicole scoffs. "He can personally try until he is blue in the face Gia, I don't care." She rolls her eyes. "Then don't get me started on Brian. I don't get them, I really don't."
"They just care about you." Gia says. "They both want you safe."
"That's the thing, I don't want them to care." Nicole sternly says. "Them caring is just making everything worse. Why do I have to continue to tell them to just leave me alone? If they want to be the new Bad Boys then have at it, but leave Nicole's life out of this."
"Bad Boys? Really Nicole."
"It was the only thing I could think of!" Nicole stresses. "Bottom line, my life does not stop for the two of them. I got nothing left to say when it comes to my dad or Brian. I feel like I'm just repeating myself.."
"Come on, your dad lost her too. It isn't just you feeling that and think about it, he probably feels worse because of guilt. It will eat you up you know." Gia mentions. "He wants to be there for you because he knows how you feel. ...I think you should let him."
Nicole rolls her eyes. "Thanks, Dr Phil. Gonna cut to commercial soon?"
"Stop it." Gia says with a chuckle. "I'm serious Nicole. Look I would give anything to have my dad back. You don't want to lose him and wish you fixed what was broken before you had the chance. Let him back in, he deserves it."
"Oh, I know what he deserves." Nicole says.
"Violence solves nothing." Gia quickly says. "Look, just try. You told him you loved him again, so that's a good thing."
"It slipped." Nicole says.
"But you still meant it." Gia points out.
"I don't know what I mean anymore to be honest with you." Nicole shakes her head. "I just don't know if I want to be angry, depressed, or both. Not to mention I don't know who to take it out on either, and I am so done with the visits of my father and the Buster."
"Buster?" Gia questions.
"Brian." Nicole corrects, she sighs. "Honestly, I just need a break and I mean an actual break that I will get some enjoyment from."
"Seems like you and my cousin have been getting plenty of breaks." Gia snickers.
"What are you-oh do not bring that up again!" Nicole warns. "I told you I fell asleep and somehow I ended up using him as a pillow."
"In his lap?"
"It happens Gia!" Nicole threw a hand up. "There is nothing there at all, I needed somebody to talk to and you were sleep. Tyler was just being a good friend. Nothing else."
