Chapter Forty-Six
A few days had passed since everyone had came home. Mia and Brian decided to stay and live with Dom. It was a big adjustment with being back but nothing had felt better. The family were going to spend their days fixing up the inside of the house when everyone left. But thanks to the upkeep, not much needed to be done.
To say goodbye the right way, Dom had invited everyone over for the tradittion Toretto barbecue. It had been years since they were able to have one in the yard again, and no one was going to pass up the chance to have it.
Getting out of the car with Tyler, Nicole took the bags up the driveway.
"Our neighbors are very confused. It's a lot of fancy cars sitting outside our house. I saw one guy take picture with one."
"Was it mines?" Roman stops from the grill.
"I assure you, nobody wants that." Tej takes the bags from Nicole. "You didn't even want it."
Roman gives him the hand. "I bought it for the appeal. Look at me, I make that car look good."
Tyler brow raised, looking him up and down. "I really think it's the other way around."
"No, it is." Tej agrees.
"You two are haters, that what that is."
"Uh-huh." Tyler nods.
Nicole confused blink goes to Tej. "Tell me again how you three survived a car ride together?"
"I almost put Roman out on the highway." Tyler sighs, going up the steps.
"And I told you we were in a place with bad service!" Roman calls out.
"That would have been the point."
Roman points, looking back to Nicole. "When you start dating. He is off the list. Do not approve."
"Wow." Nicole nods.
Tej shakes his head. "Nobody approves of you, yet, here we are."
Han walks down the steps and has a seat.
"I'm just saying, I am looking out for my niece as her favorite uncle."
"How'd you automatically get that?" Han asks.
"He imagined it." Tej nods.
"Nicole said it," Roman points, Nicole was to busy laughing. "See I prepared myself for the backlash of being the favorite. I knew it would come with all of this animosity."
"What's this about a favorite?" Brian walks over with Mia as she held Jack in her arms.
Tej rolls his eyes over to Brian. "Roman's brain determined he was Nicole's favorite uncle." Nicole snickers looking off.
