Chapter 101

Driving for what felt like hours.

The trip to California felt more longer than it needed to be.

As much as she loved the fact they were back in her home state, it still felt off to not be going home. It hurt until the thoughts of Cipher finding them made her mind change immediately. Everyone she cared about was mostly in the city of L.A., it would be selfish of her to go home knowing her and Brian were number one targets. Not knowing when she would come after them, if she were watching them.

One day waking up and seeing the faces she loves gone again.

If it was one thing her heart couldn't take, it was loosing the one thing that put it back together again.

Nicole eyes linger over to the carseat next to her.

Unlike her as a baby, Brian was more quiet and didn't fuss much unless he needed something.
There were times he would cry at random but a show of her face and he would settle back down. Or she would hold his hand and he always seemed to be curious about her charm bracelet that Tyler gave her.

Using her hand to pull his hat down, the frown on her face tilts up into a smile at his sleeping face.

The navy blue onesie and matching hat had fit well with the light blue blanket that Elena had got made for him.

Dom occasionally looks back from the road at the two in the back seat. Letty followed his gaze and found herself smiling at her daughter with her own child. A moment she was happy to be able to see. One of her fears was not being able to see this moment. Now that she did, it was an irreplaceable warmth feeling that stayed with her.

No longer having long hair, Letty cut her hair to be more of a bob as it came just a bit pass her neck. Parted to the side—one half behind her ear.
