Chapter Thirty Eight
Outside
Xander walks with Tyler to their parked vehicles.
"She kicked you out to huh?"
"I left on my own will." Tyler says.
"What happened to getting her back?"
"I can't force her." Tyler head shakes. "You know that just as well as I do," Xander nods. "Nicole has to make that decision to fight back for herself. When she will....I don't know, but I'll be there when she's ready."
Xander smiles to himself. "Who taught you to be such a gentlemen?"
Tyler chuckles. "My grandad actually."
Xander sighs pulling out his phone. "The hell is the valet with my keys." he dials a number. "I forgot to tell Nicole to go upstairs to see Cole instead of the normal spot." Dialing in, he didn't get an answer. Xander brows pulled. "Okay." He tries again. "That's weird, she would answer me."
"She is on your job and its loud in there."
"Nicole keeps it on vibrate and on her thigh so she can feel it." Xander tries again and this time got an answer.
"Hello?"
A male voice picks up.
Xander frowned. "Who is this?"
"Looking for Hailey?"
"Who in the hell is this?" Xander questioned, a threat in his voice. Tyler raised up from the car.
"Don't worry about it. Your friend is long gone," Xander wide eyes spoke it all. "Tell Shaw, now the debt is paid." It hangs up.
"No."
"What?"
Xander rushes down the street but a few more security guards came out.
"I need to get back in there."
"Sorry, but the owner says not to let anyone back in for the night." The guard nods to him. "Go home."
Xander reached for his gun but Tyler yanked his brother back when the other men reached for theirs.
Tyler fights to pull Xander back down the street to his car.
