Hey guys! We're back with Rose and the gang as things continue over at Eclipsa's castle. What'll happen today? Let's jump in and find out! :D
-Rose's POV-
I gently tapped my finger on the table, waiting for Marco. I glanced at the cuckoo clock, noticing the time. It was ten minutes until midnight. If Marco didn't hurry up for the midnight snack meeting, then we would have to try again the next night. I yawned, tapping my finger in time to the ticking of the clock. I glanced at the two bowls and the candelabra. The wax had barely melt but it felt like it's taking forever. Just then, I heard soft footsteps and looked up just as Marco came rushing in. I whispered, "There you are! What happened?!"
"Sorry, sorry," Marco whispered. " I went the long way. I just don't like walking past Globgor at night. It gives me night terrors."
I nodded, "Fair enough. So, what did you bring?"
Marco smirked and grabbed the hem of his hoodie, "Well, why don't we just take a little peek? Bam!" He lifted his hoodie and a box of cereal was pressed against his body. But not just any cereal. I softly gasped, "You got Captain Blanche's Sugar Seeds?!"
"Special edition, too. Extra marshmallows." He shook the box, emphasizing his point. My eyes widen and I quickly grabbed it, stopping him. "You're going to wake the baby," I panicked. Marco realized his mistake and placed the box on the table. "Right, sorry."
"We just have to wait," I muttered. I reached down and grabbed the carton of milk. Marco had asked me to bring it as well as the bowls. I gently placed it on the table just as the clock struck midnight. The bird popped out, making the traditional cuckoo clock noise. I looked at Marco, nodding. He opened the cereal box and bag, pouring the cereal into the bowls. Using my magic, I opened the milk carton and poured the milk in the bowls. Just as I placed the carton down, the clock stopped and all was quiet. I smiled and picked up my spoon at the same time Marco did. We tapped our spoons together, whispering, "Cheers!"
We each took a bite and ate our cereal. We quietly talked to one another, catching up with what happened throughout our day. I finished my bowl, drinking the milk. When I put the bowl down, I saw a small duck corn-mellow and a flower corn-mellow. I smiled, "Aw, look, they have each other."
Marco looked and his eyes widen. I placed the bowl down and said, "Well, it's your turn for clean-up duty. I'm going to head to bed. I'll see you tomorrow Marco!"
I left the room, heading back to Star's and I's room. Upon entering, I saw Star was sound asleep. I smiled, glad that was asleep. I climbed up the stars and went to my bed. I crawled in and closed my eyes, falling asleep easy. When I opened my eyes, though, I was staring at the ceiling of Marco's house. "Wha-" I whispered. I looked to my right and saw that Marco was next to me, asleep as well. My face grew warm and my mind realized what was happening.
I was dreaming an old memory. The morning where Marco confessed to me. I shut my eyes, thinking, 'Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!'
"Rose?" I heard. My eyes shot open and I sat straight up, smacking my head against someone. Both of us shouted in pain, the person stumbling back. I rubbed my head, groaning. I glared at whoever it was and saw that it was Tom. My eyes widen, "T-Tom?! What are you doing here?"
"Ow...I wanted to help you out with today's plans, but when I got here, Star said you were still sleeping," Tom explained. He rubbed his forehead, probably still hurting from the hit. He looked at me, asking, "Are you okay? You don't normally sleep in this late."
I sighed and pulled my knees to my chest. "I'm having the same dreams again," I muttered. Tom blinked and said, "Oh! Oh...you mean, the memories with-"
