Hey guys! So I know a lot of you are excited for the Blood Moon Ball episode, but there's one more episode before that one. Anyway, here's the new chapter! :D
-Rose's POV-
I woke up with a yawn, as the sunlight came through the window. I got out of bed, wearing my dark red night gown and pink slippers, while holding my stuffed animal that Marco got me. He said their called otters and, by far, are my favorite animals in this dimension. I squeezed it and shuffled across my room and down the stairs into Star's bedroom. I looked over and noticed that her bed was a mess, indicating that she was up. I sighed, "One of these days Star, your going to regret never making your bed," I mumbled. I shuffled across the room, and into the hallway.
I got to the bottom of the stairs and gasped. The entire living room was turned into a jungle. Purple birds flew by and I sighed, "This is peaceful."
"ROSE!"
I looked over and saw that Marco was getting attacked by a blue, four eyed, scorpion lion. Those are common in our dimension, and you don't want to mess with them. It had a hold of Marco and was shaking him. I really didn't want to use my magic but this was an emergency. "Mega Explosive Crystal Laser!" I shouted. I pointed my finger at the ground and a laser light shot out. It caught the big kitty's attention and it dropped Marco.
"Here, kitty, kitty," I said, as the lion followed the laser into the bushes. I instantly shut off the laser, and sighed. Ever since the whole Lobster Claws incident, I've been preventing myself from using magic. This necklace was too dangerous and it was a burden I didn't want. Unfortunately, as the time passes on, I keep using it more and more, growing irritated with myself that I have to use the stupid thing.
Marco mumbled something and pulled out a notepad, scribbling something down. Just then, Star came downstairs, gasping. "Wow, Rose!" she said, "I love what you done with the place!"
A purple bird flew over and perched on Star's head. It chirped and started pecking her head. "Aw! So cute!" she said.
"I didn't do this," I said, "It must've been Marco."
"Me?!" he said, surprised, "I came down here this morning to this! I wasn't planning on creating this and then getting attacked by that lion thing."
"Well, then you Star?" I asked, looking at her.
"Nope wasn't me. This has you written all over it Rose."
"How so?"
"Birds, Rainbows," Marco started listing, "This has to be you."
"Sorry, wasn't me," I said. Star and Marco moved some vines out of the way to show a giant head of me. I tilted my head and said, "Looks more like your dads work, Marco."
Just then, his dad came out of the statue's mouth, saying, "This was my work. But everything else, no."
I smiled, and said, "Well, let's hope the kitchen is still normal. I'm hungry." I walked to the kitchen to get breakfast, trying to do something to get my mind off of my necklace.
-Time skip!- -Marco's POV-
I was sleeping soundly, probably having a nice dream for once, when I felt something crawling across my bed. I opened my eyes to see a rather large caterpillar crawling across my bed. "Huh?!" I said, watching it crawl on the floor. I then heard loud blasts of magic coming from down the hallway. Why was Star up this late? I got out of bed and walked down the hallway, and stopped right outside her room. I could see different colored lights coming from the gap in the door, and the sounds of magic being used was coming from inside. I opened the door, and gasped.
It was't Star; it was Rose using her necklace. She was walking around in her pajamas. She had her right arm out, mumbling spells as she slept walk. In the other arm was the stuffed otter I got her. Star was out of bed, trying to wake up Rose, by yelling her name.
"Rose!" she said, following her.
"Nnnnnno.....get back," she mumbled, pointing her hand at Star. A narwhal blast shot out from her hand and hit Star.
"Star!" I said, running over to check she was fine. She got up, "I'm okay," she said.
I ran over to Rose, and grabbed her wrist saying, "Rose?! What are you doing?!"
"Lamp....destroy," she mumbled, moving her hand towards the direction of the lamp. The lamp came to live and started zapping me.
"Okay-ow-ow-OW!" I said, as I was being chased by the lamp. Rose then walked over and bumped into the inter-dimensional mirror. It then said, "Playing messages." Then, her mom came on the screen, saying, "Rose, this is just a daily reminder from your mother on how your suppose to act like the proper queen in training you are."
"Paper...tornado," she mumbled.
"When did you learn that spell?!" Star yelled in shock. Suddenly, pieces of paper flew up and around Star, attacking her.
"Ow! Rose!" Star screamed.
"Rose!" I shouted, "Wake up!"
"Beanbag...monster...metamorphosis," she mumbled. The beanbag near me, transformed into a monster beanbag and it started attacking me. "ROSE!" I yelled. Just then, Rose yawned and stretched, turning towards us still in her sleep daze.
"Good morning, Star. Good morning, Marco. Morning Beanbag monster," she said. Then the realization seemed to hit her and she screamed, "STAR! MARCO!"
She placed her otter down and yelled, "Lightning Turtle Rescue!" Magic blasted from her hands and the lamp, paper, and bean bag stopped attacking us, and all landed on the floor.
"You saved me," I said, sighing. I pulled out my note pad and put another tick mark under Rose's picture. I grumbled and put it away. Rose picked up a sleeping narwhal, looking at it confused.
"What happened?" she asked, looking concerned.
"You were spelling in your sleep," I said, kicking the lamp away from me. Rose picked her otter up, and Star said, "That must be why you don't turning the living room into a jungle."
Rose pulled her otter close and squeezed it. "Oh no," she said, "This can't be happening. This needs to stop. Who knows what else I could be doing in my sleep! Marco, you got to do something."
I gasped, growing excited, "Now it's my turn to save you! With psychology!"
She seemed to blush a little as Star looked at me, confused. "Psychology?" Star asked.
I did jazz hands and said again, "Psychology."
"Yeah, psychology," said Rose, "What is it?"
"Psychology is like karate for your brain," I explained. I placed my hands on Rose's head and said, "I'm going to dig deep in your brain to see what makes you tick."
Star then said, "Oh yeah, we have something like that on Mewni." She then explained what it was like on Mewni, but it was pretty different; we don't put people in catapults and launch them in the air.
"Now, before we begin, I need to transform," I said.
"Transform?" Rose asked. I spun in a circle and said, while either putting on or grabbing the stuff, "Glasses! Paper! Clothes! Book!"
I then struck and pose, and said, "Dr. Marco, Ph.D!"
"What does Ph.D mean?" Rose asked, looking like she was trying not to laugh. Just then, my mom walked by and said, "Pre-handsome dude!"
"MOM!" I said, as Rose fell to the floor laughing. Star smiled, and said, "We should probably ge started if we're ever going to get some sleep."
I nodded; this was going to be a long night.
.....
I thought I switch it up a bit by going to Marco's POV. Hope you guys liked the chapter and I'll try to update ASAP. :)
