Hey guys! We're about halfway through season two now guys! Anyway, let's move on with this new chapter! :D

-Rose's POV-

"I don't think I can do this," Marco said, fanning himself. I placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "You got this. Today is the day."

"Hey guys," we both heard. Marco and I jumped and saw Jackie standing next to us by the lockers. I smiled and said, "Sorry, got to go meet up with Star. See you guys later!"

And with that, I ran off down the hallway. I ran behind a corner and poked my head out, watching Marco. He had told me that today he was going to ask Jackie out. Even though it hurt to hear that for some reason, I agreed to help Marco.

I watched as he talked to Jackie. He seemed nervous but then his expression changed and his face turned red. I raised an eyebrow as I watched the scene play out. Jackie ended up walking away and Marco stood where he was for a moment. Then he bolted in the opposite direction.

"Marco?" I called out, watching as he ran. I raised an eyebrow confused. "What the heck happen?" I mumbled.

-Time skip-

"So that's what happened," I said, sitting with Marco, Star and Janna at lunch. Marco looked really upset and, to further prove my point, he started banging his head against the table, saying, "That! Was! So! Stupid! Ugh."

"Hey, hey, now, Marco. It's not that big a deal," Star said, trying to cheer him up. Janna looked at the three of us and said, "I heard what happened. Everyone's talking about it. Welp, looks like you should just give up on dating forever."

"Janna, not helping," I said, sending a glare at her. Marco looked up at Janna and said, "Thanks for the vote of confidence." He then sighed and sat up, a determined look on his face. "I'm not gonna let being tongue-tied stop me. Pen me!" Marco said. I grabbed a pen from bag as Marco pulled out a piece of paper.

He quickly wrote down the note and, once he finished read aloud, "'Jackie, will you go out with me Friday night?'" The three of us nodded in approval and we watched as Marco walked over to Jackie. "Hey, uh, Jackie?" Marco asked.

Jackie turned to him and said, "Oh, hey, there you are. I got your paper towels." She handed him a roll of paper towels and Marco laughed nervously, taking them. He cleared his throat and said, "Here's some paper for you."

Marco handed her the note and she read aloud, "'Marco can't grow hair on his chin, but he can on his back'"?

Janna laughed and I felt my cheeks grow warm. That wasn't what Marco wrote. Jackie looked at Marco in confusion as he said, "What?!"

Marco took the letter and read it softly. He started backing away from Jackie but wasn't paying attention to what was behind him. He ended up knocking into Chet, one of the school's jocks. Chet's lunch tray slammed into Chet's jacket, dirtying it.

"Bro, my jacket," Chet said, sounding upset. Marco looked worried and said, "Sorry Chet."

"No worries. It's just a material possession."

Just then, Marco said abruptly, "Marco thinks Chet should punch him." Everybody in the cafeteria looked at Marco in confusion. "What?" Chet asked.

Even Marco looked confused. But he said, "No, no, no! I mean, if-if Marco were Chet, he'd totally punch Marco."

"It's just a jacket dude," Chet said. But Marco grabbed Chet's arm and said, "Marco would lose all respect for Chet if Chet didn't punch Marco?!"

"Don't... Don't make me do this bro." But Marco threw himself against Chet's arm, knocking himself out. I quickly got up and helped Marco up. Star helped too and we quickly got him out of there, with Janna following quickly behind us. Marco woke up when we got him over to a bench and groaned.
