Hey guys! So this is my second story to upload here on Wattpad. Again, I mostly work over on Quotev if you want to get daily updates on stories. Anyway, here's the first chapter! :D

-Rose's POV-

Far Far away, in a magical land called Mewni, there lived two princesses named Star and Rose Butterfly. And that's pretty much how close to royalty it's going to be. My sister and I are the same age, but were not twins. If anything, we don't even look like sisters. She has the long blonde hair, and I have the long brown hair. She was Mewni cheeks shaped like hearts, while mine are shaped like stars. Only thing that we do have that could make people stop and think that maybe we are sisters are our eyes, they're blue like our parent's eyes.

Ever since we were little, my mother wanted everything of ours to match; the dress, our rooms, you name it. But...we were rebellious. I decided to keep things from getting TOO confusing, that I would added a bit of red to my dress. So now, I wear a red ribbon around my waist instead of the blue ribbon like my sister. Although my mother doesn't like it much, it does keep things from getting confusing.

Although we may look different, we share a lot of things in common. We both fight monsters from time to time. However, I like to fight them when I need too. My sister likes to go pick fights, and guess who is usually pulling her out of them when things get rough? Me. I'm more on the relax side of things when it comes to my sister. Don't get me wrong; I love and care for her, but I would love to sit in my room for a whole day, reading about the different dimensions that are out there besides ours.

And that's how it all started, on Star's birthday.

Since we were born on different days, my mother thought it was best that we have the same birthday on the same day, regardless. But I know when my birthday is and I still celebrate it anyway. I sat in my room, reading a book on a dimension that I kept finding so interesting. This dimension was called, "Earth." According to the book, there was NO MAGIC on earth. I wonder how they lived without it?

I was sitting in bed, reading it, when the door to my room burst open. I jumped up, dropping my book. My room was in a circular shape, with my bed on one side of the room, across from it the door. To my right a balcony, and across from that a fireplace. All along the walls were bookshelves, a desk, a wardrobe, and a ladder that lead to the roof. I looked to see my sister, standing in the doorway, a big grin on her face.

"Star!" I said, getting off my bed and picking up my book, "Haven't you ever heard of knocking?!"

She ignore my question, "Want to come ride wild unicorns with me?"

I thought about it and shrugged; why not? I put the book on my bed, and ran out of the room with her. We got to the stairs and we looked at each other and had the same idea. Star slid down the stairs' railing, and I was about to follow suit, when I heard a crashing sound. I quickly ran down the stairs to see Star with our family portrait around her neck. I quickly removed it, and grabbed her wrist. I knew we were in trouble if we didn't get out. We ran out of the castle and into the woods, ready to go ride some wild unicorns.

-Time Skip!-

I stood behind a tree, slowing my breathing so that I could be quiet. I looked over my shoulder and saw the unicorn, drinking from the stream. I quickly pulled out my sketch book that was in my dress pocket, (I made one myself, although my mother would kill me if she knew), and did a brief drawing of it. I put it away and said over my shoulder to Star, "Okay, we could distract it by giving it some sugar cubes or something. Then-" I looked forward but Star wasn't there.

"Star?" I asked. I looked all around, but she wasn't anywhere on the ground. Wait a minute...I looked up and saw my sister, standing on a very thin branch, right above the unicorn. I panicked as I heard the branch creaking. "STAR!" I screamed. The unicorn looked up at me, but before it could react to me, Star jumped down on the unicorn's back. The unicorn reared and neighed, kicking it's legs in the air.

"YEE-HAW!" tar yelled, as she rode the unicorn right towards me. I jumped out of the way in time, just as Star charged past me, towards the castle. "Oh boy," I said, as I got up and ran as fast as I could towards the castle. As I ran, I saw the damage the unicorn has left. Turned over carts, chickens running around, fruits rolling around on the ground. I wanted to stop and help, but then I heard a loud crash from the castle. I quicken the pace and by the time I made it to the doors, I had to lean against the door frame in order to catch my breath. Running is one thing, but running in a big heavy dress...that's a princess workout any day.

I was about to take a step forward when my sister jumped in front of me. "ROSE!" She screamed.

"WAH!" I yelled, falling down from the jump scare. I looked up to see Star holding the family wand. Except it wasn't the scepter that my mom usually holds. It was a small purple wand, with white wings and a golden star in the middle. It looked pretty cool and it fit Star's personality perfectly. She ran past me, putting a hop in each step, excited. I watched as she left; I was getting a bad feeling seeing her like that with the wand.

"Rose?" I heard behind me. I turned and saw my parents, standing at the end of the hall. My mom was tall, with her white hair in a high royal fashion, that matched her blue royal dress. She had blue eyes, and diamond Mewni cheeks. My father stood next to her; a short but strongly built man. He had short blond hair, and wore a royal blue king uniform, but he also had the same blue eyes as my mom. He wore the crown on his head, letting everybody know that he was the king, although sometimes he didn't act like it.

I walked forward and was soon standing in front of them. I smiled, "So Star gets the family wand?" I asked.

"Yes. Although we thought we should've given it to you," my mother said, looking at me. I waved my hand, dismissing the thought, "Star has been waiting long enough; I'm sure she can handle it."

Both of them raised an eyebrow, and I laughed nervously. My father cleared his throat, "Anyway, since we knew that Star would be getting the family wand. We decided to give you something that would help protect your sister."

I looked at them, confused. What was more powerful then the family wand? My mother unclipped the necklace that was around her neck and took my hand, she then placed in it, a blue diamond necklace. When I held the necklace, it changed its form to a minty green star. I smiled; green was a favorite color of mine, and the star matched my cheeks.

"This necklace has the same powers as the wand," my mother explained, as I put it around my neck, "You can use the magic in it, by saying the spell, and the magic will either come from the necklace or your hands, depending on the spell. It will also lights up to let you know when the wand is being used."

"However," my father said, drawing my attention, "If the wand falls into the wrong hands, your necklace will follow suit."

"So, what your saying is, I'll turn evil if somebody evil has the wand?" I asked, looking at them. They nodded, "That's why we are having you keep the necklace; it goes hand in hand with the wand, but it also protects the wand from being in the wrong hands. There is a small field around the wand that the necklace produces, so it won't be easy for the wand to be change so quickly."

"What happens if the wand is destroyed?" I asked, not really thinking it would happen. My parents gave each other a worried look, but as they were about to answer, there was a loud explosion, and my necklace lit up with a rainbow of colors. Star was using the wand and it wasn't good. We all ran to the nearest window and looked outside. The village below us was completely on fire. The people were running around, screaming and trying to put the fire out. I noticed a small figure running away from the fire. When I saw the blonde hair, I moaned. I put my head down on the window's ledge.

'Oh Star,' I thought, 'you really messed this one up now.'

Both my parents looked at me, after seeing enough. I looked up at them, and they said, "She can't handle it."

I dropped my head against the window ledge; great, things are so going well on our birthday....

...
