A Last Ditch Effort

Hey guys! We're back with Rose as we are now in approaching the show's finale. I want to remind everyone again that though the ending for the show is coming, the story itself won't end just yet. There's still so many questions left for Rose once the finale happens that it can't end there. Therefore, there'll be another season after this one ends. So stay tuned for that. For now, let's jump in and find out what's happening with Rose and the gang! :D

-Rose's POV-

We all stared in shock at Hekapoo. I wasn't sure where it was we were, but it was in a jungle in a thunderstorm. Hekapoo waited for us to say something, but we all just continued to stand in the rain staring at her. "Soooo... I'm not hearing a "thank you". I mean, I just saved your life!" Hekapoo argued.

I narrowed my eyes at her, "Last I recalled, you and the other members of the council were out to get us. So for all we know, this could be a trap."

Hekapoo rolled her eyes, "Please, if this was a trap, I would've done something more elaborate."

"Hekapoo, we were kinda in the middle of something," Marco said, referring to what was happening on Mewni. Heckapoo said, "In the middle of dying! But hey, I took you somewhere that will solve all that business."

I raised an eyebrow as Heckapoo knocked on a tree next to her. She walked over to the mud and stopped as something started to rise out of it. A metal door and a bouncer rose out of the mud. A flashing sign above the door lit up that read: Tavern at the End of the Multiverse. Heckapoo gestured to the open door and said, "Welcome to the Tavern at the End of the Multiverse!"

"How is a tavern going to help us?" I asked. Heckapoo shushed me, "You ask too many questions, Rose. Now come on, are you just gonna stand out there in the rain?"

I shared a look with the others before making my way over to Heckapoo. Heckapoo looked at the bouncer and said, "They're with me." The man nodded and moved the red rope. Heckapoo stepped up onto the stairs and opened the door. Despite not being attached to anything, it led to a hallway where at the end of it was an elevator. I was the first to step through, followed by Marco, Star and Eclipsa. Apparently Moon didn't come in right away but, after some coaxing from Heckapoo, she finally came in. We followed Heckapoo to the elevator, where the doors opened and we all stepped in. Heckapoo pressed one of two buttons and the elevator took us down. It eventually stopped and opened to a lounge and bar. As Heckapoo stepped out, she said, "Welcome to the furthest possible place away from all your problems. This quaint watering hole sits at the end of reality and at the start of complete nonexistence."

All around the room, various creatures from many realms could be seen. But towards the right was a black wall of darkness. It even cut through parts of the tables and chair set about. One patron was sitting halfway in, who got sucked into it. Moon glanced to her right and saw one of the patrons glaring at her. Eclipsa said, "I'm getting a vibe that we're not welcome here."

Hekapoo shrugged, sitting on a couch close by. "Most of these people left their dimensions to get away from magical issues or power-hungry rulers. You check both boxes."

"What?! This doesn't solve any of our problems!" Star argued. She flinched and held her stomach. Moon stepped up to her but I stepped in the way, glaring at her. I turned to Star and helped her to the couch to sit. She sat down next to Hekapoo as Hekapoo said, "Yeah, it does! We got a sweet place to hang out as Mewni gets destroyed."

Eclipsa narrowed her eyes and started towards Heckapoo, "Hekapoo, give me the scissors."

Moon placed a hand on her shoulder, "Wait, what are you doing?"

"Globgor needs my help," Eclipsa stated. Moon nodded, "Yes, but it's too dangerous."

I looked up at Moon and stepped towards her, "Yeah, it's too dangerous because of YOU!" Hekapoo got up from the couch and muttered, "Well, y'all are buzzkills. I'm gonna go make the best of this mess."
