Hey guys! We're back with Rose as her princess/future queen adventures continue. Wonder what will happen now? Let's jump in and find out! :D
-Rose's POV-
"Huh," I said, looking at a toy necklace of my own magic necklace. Star, Tom and I were all in the marketplace, looking around and thinking about buying something. A teen monster, who was the shop owner that we were at, came over to me and said, "Yeah, that princess merch is, like, so cute, but for that price, I'm, like, it better do real magic."
I snorted and laughed at his joke, saying, "That is funny and a good point." The monster looked away and I looked over at Tom, who had picked up a red shirt with spikes on the shoulders and tears at the bottom. Star was admiring some of the merch, but it looked like she was looking at the price tags instead. I put the toy necklace away just as I heard, "Hey, monster!"
I looked to my right and saw the same teen monster being yelled at by another shop owner. He glared at the monster, saying, "You know the rules! Monsters ain't welcome, so put the merch back and get out!"
"Whoa," I breathed, watching as the Mewni shop owner used his broom to push the monster teen away. The monster ran off crying just as Tom came over to me. "Do you think I'd look cute in this shirt?" He asked.
"What?" I asked, looking at him. He turned to a clothing rack with more T-shirts, looking for another one, "Or-"
The Mewni shop owner looked at Tom, saying, "Hey, over there! That goes for you, too! Monster!" Tom looked up and glared at the shop keeper, with an annoyed look. The shop keeper's eyes widen and he dropped his broom. He rushed over and knelt down in front of Tom, taking his hand. "Oh! Prince Lucitor! Sorry. Sorry, sir. Please don't incinerate my shop," He said, kissing Tom's hand.
Star and I shared a look. We needed to do something.
-Time skip-
"Star, don't-" I said, as Star rushed towards aunt Moon's study. She raised her foot and kicked open the door, saying, "Hey mom!"
I pushed the cart behind Star and looked inside. Aunt Moon sat behind a desk, feather pen in hand and book open in front of her. She looked as if she was restraining a groan from Star kicking open the door. Star walked in and I pushed in the cart that had the diagram of all the kingdoms of Mewni. I stopped pushing the cart and asked, "Aunt Moon, you know how Mewmans and of keep monsters separated from the rest of the kingdom?"
"Yes?" she asked, putting down her feather pen. I glanced at Star and asked, "Well we were wondering-why?"
"We keep monsters out because monsters are dangerous. You two know that," Aunt Moon said, picking up her feathered pen again. I shook my head, saying, "Not all of them. And what about people who aren't Mewmans but also aren't monsters? Like Rhombulus. He has snakes for hands. Are his hands monsters?"
"Heavens, no! He's on the Magical High Commission," Aunt Moon said, chuckling. Star picked up a little figure of Pony Head and said, "And what about the Pony Heads? They're a bunch of floating horse heads!"
"No, dear. We've had ties with the Pony Heads for generations," Aunt Moon said, putting her pen down. I gestured to the Pigeon kingdom on the cart, saying, "And Rich Pigeon? His kingdom is brand-new! And he's a pigeon with legs! How is he not a monster?"
"Well, he's rich," Aunt Moon said simply. I held back a groan at the ridiculousness of what aunt Moon said. Star moved several kingdoms out of the way and lifted the lid of the cart to show Tom's kingdom. I gestured to that kingdom, saying, "I don't really see what that has to do with anything. And what about the Lucitors? I've seen Tom do some pretty scary stuff. Somehow he's not a monster?"
