Hey guys! Part two here we go! Anyway, here's the new chapter! :D

-Rose's POV-

I opened my eyes and stretched. Today was the day I find out if Marco wins or loses the bet we made yesterday. So far, Star was still convinced about the cookies. I got out of my bed and walked over to a jar of money that was on my bookshelf near the large aquarium. I took the jar off the shelf and dumped the money out on my bed. I started counting the money and, overall, I had twenty five dollars. If I win today's bet, I could finally buy the item I've been meaning to get for Marco.

I scooped the money up and placed it back in the jar. I changed into my favorite outfit for the day, and slid down the railing to Star's room. From the looks of it, Star had already been up and about for a while. And from the looks of all the fortunes in the trash can, she's been cracking those cookies open.

"Speaking of which," I said, running back upstairs and seeing my fortune cookie on my dresser. I still hadn't open it yet. I walked over and cracked it open. I tossed the cookie in my mouth and read the fortune. I nearly choked on my cookie when I read the fortune.

It said: "'Love is waiting for you just around the corner.'"

I crumbled up the fortune and threw it away in my trash can. That was a little too freaky. I quickly ran down the stairs, and out of our bedroom. I ran down the hallway, and down the stairs. I turned the corner and slammed into Marco, who had just put down a big plate of nachos.

"Rose?" he asked, "What's the rush?"

I mentally slapped myself, as Marco helped me up. "Nothing," I said, trying not to think of my fortune cookie, "Anyway, how goes you trying to convince Star?"

"Watch," he said, "She'll stop believing in those cookies once I'm done talking to her."

"We'll see," I said, just as Star came out of the kitchen with a box of Fortune cookies. She stood at the end of the table, saying, "Oh, wise and powerful cookies, bestow your sugary prophecies on me."

"Hey Star," Marco said, "Gotcha! Those fortunes aren't magic. They're put there by people in factories."

"Next you'll tell me that how they get the snow in snow globes," she said. Before I could tell her it was, she said, "It's clear they're the work of dark wizards."

I smirked at Marco, who then said, "I'm serious. They're not real. They're just vague so you can read things into them."

She ignored Marco and she cracked open another fortune cookie. She pulled the fortune out and read, "'An unexpected visitor will soon arrive.'"

She then stared at the door, waiting for her 'Unexpected Visitor.' Marco walked over to the door, and started opening and closing it, saying, "See? No one's here. Now, who wants nachos?"

Suddenly, making me jump by the suddenness, Ferguson was standing in the doorway. He then said, "Did somebody say nachos?"

"Well," said Star walking over to Ferguson, "hello, my UNEXPECTED visitor."

Marco sighed and said, "Ferguson, Star thinks fortune cookies are magical. Will you please tell her they're not?"

"now, whoa, man," said Ferguson, sounding serious, "Whoa. Cookies ARE magical. Once, I ate one from the floor of a cab, and I met my spirit animal that night. It was a wolf."

"Okay," I said, sounding really confused as Ferguson walked over and started eating the plate of nachos. I walked over to Marco, and leaned on Star's shoulder, saying, "Marco, your not going to convince her."

"Yeah, why are you suddenly a non-believer?" she asked, opening another fortune cookie. She then read aloud, "'Reach for the stars and achieve your dream.'"
