Hey guys! So, this first picture, entered by the lovely ShadowCookie, will be used to describe Rose's true Butterfly form. Anyway, here's the long awaited chapter! :D

-Rose's POV-

I blinked a few times before saying, "Hello Toffee. I'm honestly not surprised to see you."

Ludo's eyebrow lifted a little as he said in Toffee's voice, "Really, your not surprised? And tell me, princess, why is that?" I didn't answer his question, but instead asked, "Why did you stop being friends with my mom?"

Ludo floated back, a contorted expression on his face. He said in Toffee's voice, "Why does it matter. She's dead and I need to take my revenge on Moon."

"It does matter because you used to be friends," I said, trying to move. The chains around my wrists and ankles kept me in place. I really was chained down. I gave up the idea of moving for the moment and said, "What made you stop talking to her?"

Ludo didn't react or say anything. He just floated a foot in front of me, staring at me. Finally, in Toffee's voice, he said, "War can change the mindset of Mewni's and monsters alike. Once I realized that Rose was on the enemies side, there was no way of her seeing my way. Though she tried to convince me we could still be friends, I knew it wasn't going to happen. And I had to prove it to her."

"So you killed her mom," I whispered, not believing it. "But mom was right! If you had just listen-"

Ludo's body sailed the distance between us and his clawed hand clasped around my throat. Whatever words I was going to say left in a tight breath as the air was squeezed out. Ludo growled and said in Toffee's voice, "I don't need to be lectured by a child. Especially one who is of my deceased enemy."

Ludo released me and I gasped for air, focusing only on breathing. Ludo floated to the ground and said in Toffee's voice, "Ludo has some things he needs to attend to. I expect you to be a good little butterfly and stay put. We wouldn't want anything to happen to your cousin now would we?"

My stomach dropped and I felt my face grow cold. My reaction seemed to satisfy Toffee. Ludo's face smiled and his body left the room. A moment later, I heard Ludo say in his own voice, "What am I doing down here in the dungeons? Oh well! I must go check on the children's choir and see how my song is coming along!"

I heard his footsteps fade away and I sighed, knowing that it was no use to try and get his attention. I glanced at my necklace and noticed how it pulsed green. I focused on trying to use a spell, but a pain exploded in my head and I winced. No doubt Toffee's doing. I leaned against the wall, trying to think of something. First, I had to get out of here. Then I had to find Star. Give her a hug. And then hit her over the head for coming after me. I looked at the chains around my wrists and muttered, "Maybe I can try to pick the locks?"

Suddenly, their was movement outside and something slammed hard against the prison door. I looked up in surprise and watched as a dark figure came towards the door. I felt my stomach drop and my skin grow clammy as the door opened. A giant rat stood in the doorway, and I caught my breath. Then I realized that the giant rat was an animal suit. "What the-" I started. But the hands moved up and removed the head. I gasped at the sight of he person in the suit.

It was Marco.

I could only stare and gape at him as he smiled. "Hey Rose, glad to see your still hanging in there," He said. I tried to have a serious face but burst into a fit of giggles. "Oh that was so bad, Marco," I said, as he climbed out of the mouse suit. He rushed over to me and tried to karate chop the chains. But it didn't do anything except hurt his hand. He jumped back, holding his hand. I winced and asked, "Did you get the key?"
